Remember moto 2 that day? 2 of those guys in the picture DNFd, Matt Georke smoked everyone and Byrne couldn’t catch the local legend in his mid 40s to secure what would’ve been his only overall win.

The 2 Aussies will be strong...  As they usually are.  But we drop the gate and actually race to get the results....

I don't think anyone here realises how good a rider Webster is, if chase does chase things I can see him landing on the box.

the aussie tracks seem like kids tracks compared to the ama tracks so it will be a challenge. He is suited to the sand though and i hope he does well

Jett looked like he was riding a different track than everyone else last year, would be shocked if he doesn’t go 1-1

Aussies have always done well at Southwick, although I’ve never really worked out why? It’s not like we have a lot of sand tracks on the home circuit. Looking forward to the weekend’s racing and Webster being in, just adds interest.

No. Just talent. Unlike your sorry ass.

AJS in WA is probably one of the roughest sand tracks in the world on its day, and Webster makes it look easy. I’ll be putting him in my fantasy picks this weekend. Also keep an eye out for Minear in the combines later this year. Hasn’t shown it Nationally yet really but locally in WA he is a weapon too 🔥👍

I could see Webster getting a top 10 finish.

Jett and Hunter grew up near coolum mx which is a sand track that gets brutally rough. Reed had his stint in europe so thats prob a few reasons why

We’ve had Coolum and Wonthaggi pretty consistently for the past decade or so. Wonthaggi has some clay sections and sandier sections but I don’t think Southwick would be that much softer and I don’t think it would be as sandy as Coolum. Add in Rosebud for the vicco’s (isn’t Webster in Beatons program?) and Hervey Bay for the QLDrs, the Manjimup event and other sand tracks from WA and I think Aussies get a good dose of soft tracks.

Also Jett and Hunter are from the Landsborough / Beerwah / Glasshouse area, plenty of sand tracks between Steve Irwin Way and the Highway they would have been regularly riding as kids.

Minear would be good! There’s some really good young guys coming out of MX3 that would be good to see in the combines. The Kingsford brothers, Kobe Drew and Jake Cannon would be awesome.

I don’t expect him to be on the box, but barring crashes or mechanicals, a top 15 will not be “lucky”.

I can see him top 15 and maybe even top 12...  But I see almost zero chance of a podium.

I saw Webster race at assen MXON. He was extremely impressive there. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him top 10, but would be a surprise to see him farther up the pack. 9-12 range would be a great result and he (well mostly all of you Aussies) should be proud of that.

Unless Chase has hidden Aussie ancestry I don't think Aussies are clean sweeping the podium. Chase will take one of those spots.
