I was lucky enough to get into the Suzuki pits after washougal 09. I think it was already known then that Bridgestone was done. I thought it was odd that the Bridgestone guy was looking over chads tire and taking notes. The rear must have been a really soft gummy compound. Most of the center knobs were torn completely off or hanging on by a flap.

I run X-31’s.  They work great for me.  In particular, great front end traction for cornering.  They work well in the mud in the winter.  Now in the summer, they are continuing to work great in the dry dirt and sand.

I also ran M22/23 and 403/404s for years.

Same with the Dunlop 756 rear.

I was a Bridgestone rider for 15 years. I worked my way up from stock tires to race spec tires. There were times it felt like cheating, they were some damn good. The race spec stuff was a single day tire and then the side wall was smoked. If you stayed on it, it would just fall apart.
I flew to world vet at GH one year to ride a borrowed bike, it had Dunlops on it. They were so not planted, we had to go to a local shop to buy a set of stock Bridgestones.
I finished 3rd the next day in 30pro.

Just mounted up a set of x31’s on my new dirt star wheel set. Now just need this back pain to go away…

The 403/404 combo slaps. I miss those tires.

If I could find a front M203 for my YZ125, I'd buy 5 of them.

Those tires have been discontinued since the 80's.  They were Metzeler MultiCross.  They were standard equipment on Maico throughout the 1970's and it was before Metzeler was bought out and merged with Continental and Pirelli.

Yes Sir, I loved the M22/23 for hard-pack, I wish Dunlop would re-release the K139 front and K88 rears. ;-)

The Bridgestone X series tires got expensive $20 more on average than a dunlop. And the x30 rear 110 was weighed by MXA to be 1.5 lbs heavier than a MX32.  That was some negative PR. Those two things hurt them. And also Dunlop came out with their amazing  MX32/33/34 series that are excellent.

Bridgestone pulled out of karting a few years ago. The way karting works is different, but one assumes the low-volume stuff they aren't interested in anymore.

I just used an mx3s front for the first time. Really really good tire. Big like a 90/100 almost. Felt heavy steering but really turned hard

Have a 120/80 x30 to go on soon as it was dirt cheap. Boy thats a huge tyre. On a harder track sure has to hookup. Heavy but im ok with that. Means itll hold up and not break down in the wall.

Im still a big bridgestone fan myself, switch all my bikes over once the stock dunlops wear out. The 403a/404a were the best tires by far, just got fresh set x31 on my 125 to try

Typical Japanese brand - dirtbike market is small so they just gave up on marketing and seems like they keep tire generation for a long time.
Somehow I'm not a fan of Dunlop tires and recently found a good deal on Bridgestone Battlecross X31 rear tire.
Mounting was easy and so after two rides I'm impressed with grip they provide. Sample is small as I just got two rides on that tire. Track that I'm riding is a mix of baked hardpack with loose stuff in some corners. I'm curious how they will hold up as durability is also an important factor for me.

Every single dealer has Dunlops. I don't want to switch back and forth, and I know I can always find them. Plus my kid sees all the pros running them so he thinks he has to have them or it turns into an excuse.  So I'm like water and flow in the direction of least resistance

But I used to run Bridgestone in 2000s and early 2010s. They were good.

I'm a huge fan of the soft compound!
