I saw Jett's uncharacteristic nerves on the gate...

He looked unusually nervous sitting on the gate...he had beating 24-0 on his mind.

You may have been on to something he just wadded it on the first lap, crazy! Jett also looked tired after the win last week for the first time ever, maybe hes worn out from winning his 7 straight championships and keeping the streak alive. Its prob good the streak is over and he can just focus on the championship.

I think his ego got in the way. No reason to attempt hitting that jump.

Not sure he did attempt it.  Looked like a huge kicker and he was nowhere close to clearing it.  I think is he had been trying, he would have cleared it and been fine

It's almost like he feels the championships are a given, so he's focused on beating records.

Jett is always calm and collected on the gate, often smiling and joking around.

Go watch the footage of him today before moto 1.  He looked like he was a nervous wreck.

I watched every one of those 24 in a row…not a single one of them can hold a candle to what chase did today

He’s not wrong. Would have been a helluva race with the Jett’s but yesterday was going to be the day Chase ended the streak, crash or no crash by the Jett’s.

Quite true…. But consider 24 consecutive wins cumulatively, and they are really close to comparable.  Statistically I think there have been fewer true last to first races than perfect seasons.

So what impresses you more is likely biased by your favorite rider.

You know it was 24 motos in a row right.  A full season completely undefeated as a rookie….chase won his first 2 motos since 2022.  The come from behind was cool but  “Doesn’t hold a candle?” Are you a math guy cuz…..

So look at Chase’s ride yesterday. With that ability, he was still unable to beat or even pass Jett for 24 races in a row. 22 of which Jett was a rookie.

Bad days happen - hope he's ok and ready to race at 100% soon.  It was a gnarly get off and could have been worse regarding injury.

A hiccup was inevitable.  This should release some pressure.  I'll wager it's a good thing ultimately.

Absolutely 100% agree . The guy is the fastest man on the planet…..can’t wait for this weekend and Southwick in a few. Not taking anything away from Chase, that KTM was flying.

If he doesn't try that jump on the first lap he most likely has a 25 moto win streak and without an injury, maybe 26. Chase was fast yesterday, but I'm not sure he was fast enough to catch Jett both motos without Jett's first moto crash after those mediocre starts.

yeaaa i agree with this joint right here 👍🏾 after being dominant for awhile u do get a sense of invincibility like nothing can go wrong & then the gods bring u down back to earth to tell u hey…. there’s a limit here , it happens to everybody once in a while but he’ll bounce back tho , every slap in the face with a dose of reality is a locked in focus comeback

At press day before the first round Jett was in his own world fiddling with his fingers tuning everyone out.  He also does art as an outlet and stress reliever it wasn’t just recently but he may be feeling more pressure now or motivation to duck his turtle back back in the shell.  He grew up on the road in Europe and the US.

It came down the the speed he was carrying and how it caused him to hit it.

The question is does Jett think Chase and/or his brother are picking up pace where he has to take chances like that?  I think Hunter got him to go for too much by commenting on his jump from last week that he was only one doing to pick up extra time and JT commented on the jump too.  To come up with special jumps every week is just gonna result in more crashes than 1/10ths of seconds.

What about Deegan’s crash was that just a wild ride or was he going for any jump?

Yeah it was already a downhill so he was trying to clear what he could and maintain the lead.  Most people misjudge jumps or have issues clearing them sometimes depending on the takeoff.  Going down didn’t offer much lift.

I always see him sniffing something on the gate. Did he do his usual sniff before the start? That could've thrown off his routine.
