I have a 23 350sxf and absolutely love the bike. I have about 30hrs on it, it has kyb forks, factory edition triple clamps and I feel like I have it pretty dialled.

I'm being very nit picky but I feel like i get a slight twitch or nervousness from the front at times, very minor but.

I'm wondering who has tried different triple clamp offsets and what were the positives/negatives you felt?

Apparently the 23.5 mm offset is the go to. I have the same bike, same hours, kyb forks, and feel the same way. I haven't pulled the trigger and clamps though as they're pretty damn expensive.  I'd be interested to hear if they're worth it

Yeah I have heard the same thing aswell, I'm just hesitant to pull the trigger as I have wasted alot of money in the past on parts that make little or no difference ha ha.

Yes, 23.5 clamps made a big difference and yes, the bike seemed to turn even better.   The stability was improved a great deal.  I was able to test one bike with the clamps and one without back to back.  I purchased the RE clamps.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I have heard a few times that the ride engineering clamps are a bit more rigid than others. Is this something you noticed?

No, nothing stands out like that to me.   I had xtrig clamps on one bike and the RE on the other.  The main thing I could tell was one was much more stable and even turned better.   I will say the 23.5 contributed to removing some pressure off the front end possibly because the harsh feel in the hands got better.   I am not sure what clamp is better but 23.5 is certainly the way to go.

You've tried tightening the headstock nut?

Just checking as it is cheap and easy if it helps.

For years I spent huge money on Scotts Dampers etc on various bikes, when I think tightening the headstock might have been at least half the answer.

I would go with the Luxon clamps, much better made and fully adjustable

I bought the Luxon clamps for my 23 350sxf. I run them at 24mm offset adjustable down to 22mm. Work great, quality product. My buddy runs them on his 2023 YZ 450 at 24mm likes them also. Calmed the Beast down.

Luxon clamps on my 23 KTM 350sxf. Set at 24mm off-set. Absolutely got rid of the nervousness on corner entry, and even stayed in the long nasty straight away ruts better. Surprisingly turned better as well.

Same set up, KYB front.

I've noticed luxon make there cheaper non adjustable version in 23.5mm now. I'm guessing they will be just as good and save a few dollars?

Curious what the stock off set is on that model year? I have a 2016 XCF .... thinking of tighting up the steering with less offset. Of course it's a different frame. The 2016 feels long to me... doesn't turn as well as the 23+ bike imo.

That's huge if it really helps the stability that much. I really don't have a problem getting my '23 to turn. It's the nervousness

Think the new KTM chassis is the most stable of the bunch. A little nose heavy out of the box but dropping the forks to 2.5mm helps that. Not saying 24mm offset can't make it better?

We found that most people with the Gen3 Pro clamps on the KTM (and funny enough, Yamaha and Honda) settled on either the 23 or 24 mm offset. So we split the difference to 23.5 and offer it on the Gen3 "standard" clamps now too. They're the more affordable version of the two. Not quite as nice and don't have all the same features, but I'd put them up against anyone else's offerings. You can see the full rundown comparing the two here:

https://www.luxonmx.com/blog-luxon-gen3-triple-clamps.html

The biggest benefit of the pro clamp is the adjustable offset. Not everyone will prefer the same setup. Different rider skills, riding styles, heights/weights, track styles, riding conditions, bike setup, etc. can all change the ideal offset. The Pro being adjustable takes that worry away as you can adjust to find the right offset for you without buying multiple sets of clamps. But if you're confident that you like the longer offset, then the standard version saves you some cash.

Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it. I think a set of your clamps will be on my bike soon.

Bringing this back up. Did any of you install aftermarket 22mm clamps on factory AER forks? If so, was there a meaningful difference?
I gather there is a meaningful difference with 23.5 clamps regardless of any material/flex difference.
I have a 24 350 SXF. I think it handles very well, though I kind of get the idea about being a little harsh. I have not compared to other bikes in recent times, so as the say, ignorance is bliss. I’m not yet convinced whatever harshness I feel really matters, but open to the idea of alternatives at some point. 6500s AND clamps are not in the current budget so looking into how each might be beneficial at some point.

I have the ktm powerparts split clamps on my 23 350, I'm not a super sensitive rider but I feel they take a little sting out of the hands, definitely not a massive difference but noticeable. They are 22mm. I also have kyb forks on my bike and that is the single biggest upgrade you can do to a ktm. If i were you I'd just keep the stock clamps and try save enough money for some spring inserts, kyb/6500's or dal soggio are all good.

Did you notice any difference in bump comfort going from the stock clamps to RE clamps?

Brand?

Did you not like them, or just not notice enough difference? Or other?

Ride engineering is the brand. I switched brands. They do what everyone says though. Makes it more stable and feels more plush in the hands

I'm chasing more stability, anytime I try anything close to 100mm I notice it start getting a little twitchy. I mainly ride faster sand tracks so I prefer 105-110mm.
