Lengthy interview with Stark CEO, no turtleneck involved, no big news either but a wide range of topics is covered and he gives some details about the range update, the future updates, some parts redesign (footpegs, tubes...), the incoming Enduro and Supermoto models and so on.

Concerning delivery, they're shipping about 1000 bikes a month, still lingering legal issues in 7 or 8 states in the US.

Chapters in the video description are quite useful. The guy doing the interview has made some really good and very thorough vids about range for various Enduro situations.

Only took them about a year to be able to deliver in all US states, crazy Woohoo

Anyway, +320 dealers worldwide, including 120 in the US, they now have some stock in 4 US warehouses, with bikes delivered in a week. Also about 200 brand new Vargs at dealers available on Motohunt. End of the suffering is in sight for the last US preorders.

Just now get a notice that my bike, pre-ordered 12/26/21 is available and can be shipped to my door...sorta missed the boat with me, will hold out for a Yamaha, Honda, whatever when they become available instead. Until then, it'll be a Ducati 450 sometime next year, the new 25 Honda WE or the Tomasin T500

You are a man of impeccable taste but man, that Tomasin (and the Ducati I'll bet) make the Varg look affordable Grinning

Thanks! Either one will more than likely be my last petrol bike, definitely expensive, will be fun though. E-bike will happen eventually, hopefully a brand that doesn't jack people around. Pre-order early didn't mean squat...glad people have and like them though, i just don't feel like spending my money with those people at this point.

I don’t think the Ducati is out till 2026 at the earliest.

Probably so, more than likely end up with the Tomasin. If there is any real word on mid-late 25, may wait it out. Gonna be great either way.

Apparently there was not much fore thought in their move from Socal to Nashville, and now it looks like he is going to go influence somewhere else.  I suspect the locals hope the door does not hit him on his way out (taken from local Tennessee moto FB group):

It's amazing (but then again the US is a huge country) that it's possible to live 2h from a track in the land where Moto says to be born. I couldn't think of having a hobby where I would need to do 2h+ drives to practice my hobby. I have 5 really good tracks within an hour where I live, I understand Bryan.

I'm curious (not about SoCal), but say if you landed a good job in Dallas or Boston or Cincinnati (just three random cities), would that put a stop to my hobby or are there mx tracks within 1h from those cities?

I think insurance probably has a lot to do with tracks here nowadays, that and population density.  For example, I used to live outside of Seattle, growing up there was probably 5+ tracks, and 50 places to free-ride.  Now there is 1 track, and no place to ride, it is all high-density housing now.  I think I have gotten used to driving 1-2 hours to ride good and groomed tracks, you can't live anywhere near any city and have tracks nearby.

In Bryan's case, I am not sympathetic.  If your can live anywhere you want with your line of work, and you are a self-proclaimed moto junkie, and you pack up your family and move 2500 miles away, to an area that will never be like Socal moto, I would call you a fool.  Saying "it sucks here, peace out" adds insult to injury.  Your lack of planning and arrogance makes you look like an ass.  The funny thing is, there might be a slightly better moto scene in NC, but he will still be disappointed, he is never going to be happy with the moto scene until he is back in CA, hopefully his journeys lead him back there.

He's not wrong.  The moto scene is TN sucks unless you have a friend with a track in his backyard or a private track.  Not enough riders and nobody wants to pay to race/practice.  Why would you open and prep a track for 20 guys to show up?  The whole SE is that way now unless you live by one of the major tracks.

I don't know if I like the appearance change of the CEO. At first when they needed investor's money, he was super clean cut and pro looking, but now that he has that money, he looks like someone from coachella or burning man.

I bet that most people will not be able to tell if any of those photos are legit or if I just posted random images. Its  nice to see the person behind the company and know  that he is putting himself out there .  Giving You a face and person to blame if everything goes wrong. Or a face to connect to the success.

I get it that not everybody will love the brand or bike, or idea of an electric MX bike.  Funny how its almost just the people that dislike the Varg left posting on these threads. I wonder where everybody went? Probably out doing moto's in their spare time in their backyard on their Varg's instead of wasting time talking about them.

It's been tough for early customers, especially in the US, but one year after starting deliveries, Stark have very significantly ramped up their operation.

So the internet genius that just lucked his way into finding the stark order page before anyone else didn't Google tracks in the area he moved across country to?

Depending on where he's going in NC he's not going to find it much better. If you want a lot of options it's So. Cal or Florida. Or Illinois if you don't mind taking several months off every winter.

I thought I remembered him saying they were moving for his wife's job.  Perhaps the lack of tracks  was not out weighed by her job offer at the time. His job did not involve riding so maybe the reduced cost of living and new job for his wife sounded like it was going to be better than it was. Or make up for having to drive farther to ride.

Sales gotta be terrible. Anyone know VIN numbers? I think we were hearing ~10k over six months ago?
