Saw this on instagram yesterday. Seems like a unique concept. I usually hit GH up for practices from time to time, so I'll be sure to make this one if I'm going to be practicing anyways.

Smart. I have no problem with them monitizing that and formally organizing the sessions
What is the benefit calling a simulation instead of a race? No insurance requirement? Sounds strange to have gate drops with 30+1 motos and whoever gets to the finish line first gets the lions share of a $10k purse, but it's not a race.
Looks like another sick day for me
Bringing back the “Pre-Quil” nationals or whatever they were called that they ran before the 1st round in 06 and 07 era? Canard beat Metcalf in a moto there in ‘07 when he was still racing amateur nationals.

It's like GH having a National without having a National. Pretty cool and novel idea
And it looks like they are actually monetizing it for a charitable cause. Seems like a win-win for everyone...pros get a closed session moto that they can either spin a few laps or an entire moto, practice guys like me get to see how much I really suck compared to a pro lap time, and Asterisk Medical get some charitable donations
Well, if nothing else that's a pretty frickin' cool trophy -
Isn't this kind of like winning practice?
It's no first place clipboard but it'll do.
So it’s 2 motos format & low score wins or fastest lap time out of either session wins?
It is the best finish of both motos. Low score wins.
thanks for confirming. so yeah it's a race. that's wide open! i'll be there probably watching & just riding the other sessions haha
Motocross action just posted an interview with Bud, owner of Glen Helen, about the stopwatch national

That would be sick go ride and watch some factory guys rip it up on the same track
It's a rad idea, but I'm a little unsure the logistics of the purse. Who is monitoring? Are the teams going to allow their riders to use a transponder? I'll sit back with popcorn and watch this one with skepticism.
I’m thinking you’ll see more privateer/satellite type of riders than top teams
Pit Row
Not sure why you would be out there competing Nick, pounding out laps
Looks like some top riders are racing the Stopwatch National at Glen Helen this Thursday. I see Pierce Brown, Ryder D., Varize, Wageman, Drake and they even have some super fast off-road guys signed up. Should be worth taking the day off to go watch some good racing at Glen Helen.
any live timing

gosh dang, Dante Oliveira is such a talented rider!
Who follows Dayton Briggs on IG or You tube ? His videos are pretty funny and he seems pretty dang fast.
FYI, Tickle might race a few nationals this summer.
Im saying it again, Dante may be the fastest all around dirtbiker in the world right now.
Hopefully he reconsiders, He's on a 450 and can't hang with Pierce or Ryder D on their 250s
Don't tickle with my emotions
Hoping everything is good with Derek Drake. Hoping he just had a bike problem and it wasn't a crash. He dropped and hasn't put in another lap.
