Related to the optics, the largest powerlifting federation in the world does not allow lifters to use ammonia in plain sight of the crowd or cameras. It’s not banned for use, but you just have to use it behind a curtain.
Been warned a few times for this at various meets over the years. It’s interesting to me that the riders use this for the relatively short-acting and mild effect along with Feld or anyone else being okay with it being used in plain sight. I personally don’t think it’s good or bad, but interesting to me nonetheless.

I was thinking Jett would want to be hyping himself up or something to make him very alert. If others are taking smelling salts. But both of them sound like they relax You. I think that might have helped me when I was racing, I was always stressed and nervous. Its funny to think a rider like Jett would feel like that.
Feeling nervous is the brain’s way of preparing for maximum effort. Completely normal even for elite athletes.
