I’m really not worried about where Jett finished for the night as he is still relevant to the points chase. But I do think it is shitty to not let the LCQ guys get their time. If either of them would have been well known factory riders we would’ve had a full on interview. Seems like a big slight to Benny and the Beta team as well as Bryce and his team.
Tomac fined at Foxborough 2 years ago for refusing an interview after a 7th place finish.

I just saw the race. It was mature for Webb to put up an interview knowing he lost points and went down. He could have just gone back to the truck and no one would have blamed him for it. Jett is getting away with near crashes like Ricky used to do and pull it off that Chase couldn’t on the Honda. To not thank his sponsors this time showed a human side for Webb not just being a podium robot. Like Deegan said it’s a fan sport (if you weren’t one yet). I could see Webb just didn’t have it this week on press day and he couldn’t pull his moves. Tomac was looking good most of the time but watch out for Sexton who doesn’t have anyone to apologize to.
Webb didn’t have a choice. Top five have to hang around and make themselves available for an interview. They get fined if they go straight back to the truck.
