I’m not sure exactly how the stark stacks up to be honest after being someone who got to ride one but I wasn’t sure if the sound issue has been talked about on here much??
to be honest, as much as Maedas April Fools Joke for the Stark Varg noise issue he ran into, I’ve already thought about this in the past, but hell I didn’t get very far in the thought process to be honest.
i do think though, they can not race together… no they can’t have horns or just scream like in the woods, because we can’t rely on Vince yelling once he is riding the Honda E and inside of people. He’s just going to snap them in half..
in all seriousness though… what’s the answer. For the few laps I putted around I noticed nobody had a clue I was coming..dons race video of the glen helen sra gp shows the issues as well.
sorry if this has been talked about a ton, delete this if you need but ya I think it’s an issue!
I read your post 3 times, and I'm still not sure what you're saying.
Maybe put a clothespin and playing card in the front wheel?
How do noisy bikes make it safer?

Let’s be clear, the Varg isn’t silent, it does have its own noise. Between the engine noise, chain slap and rear digging in for traction, it does have sounds of its own.
That being said, situation awareness is 100% a part of pro racing. Everyone is closer in speed so this slows down whatever is going on around you.
I agree there will be a “getting used to it” phase, but I don’t think it’ll take long for all to build it into their awareness.
No idea if this is possible, but can't you put some type of speaker, and link it to the throttle position ? Have the 4 stroke or 2 stroke option. Might not be loud enough for fans as much, but maybe enough for the racers to hear ?
I bet Feld will do everything in their power to bar E-Bikes from Supercross for as long as they can. I can’t feature the average Supercross fan wanting to pay big bucks to listen to E-bikes whining and chain slapping their way around a track. Like it or not, sound is a big part of the appeal of motorsports.
Do they let Indy cars in NASCAR?
I concur and when the evilke I mean ebike time time comes they're likely to add some noise, like the ford mach e internal ice noise like a real mustang
I have a MachE and the fake noise (which you have to turn on) is more of a simulated “electric power” sound. That said, it’s super cheesy and these gimmicks should go away.
Feld has been baring SX tracks at it's events this year. Tamed down tracks so everyone can do the same lap times is just woke.
They need their own class... Stark hates it, but it is what it is.
Makes more noise with spoke skins!
Start with there own class like Mxgp is planning , formula 1 etc , once that grows and gains interest ( which it will ) move it into the main class , wether we like it or not it’s coming so might aswell embrace it and make it as good as possible
By adding the E class it will be like the old 125 / 250 / 500 days.
they will be the intermission class… the time to take a leak and grab another 15 dollar dixie cup of beer and nachos at concession stand!
I am wondering if they would extend the program or does track maintenance take a hit?

Fox is on it as Swap explains.
I doubt that there will be any electrics racing AMA supercross until Honda and Yamaha )or enough brands to get a majority vote to get the rules changed ) have theirs and want to race them in the main classes. Then, whatever is faster is what top guys will race.
How many people would watch that race if they did let them in though?? Sounds like it could be a wild race.
Thanks for that
make it a 1st year works bike class and they all will jump in.
2 friends of mine has a crash a few weeks back, and they both said it happened as the rider behind on the stark went to pass and the leader changed direction as he didn't know the stark was coming up the inside, only a broken collarbone,
i know when racing cross country, i would rev the bike with the clutch in to warn riders i was coming, or to get them to get out of the way, with teh stark this is not possible due to no clutch, it is an issue for sure. i know some guys used to run small horns on the bikes to alert poeple, maybe thats whats needed on the stark,
100% not an issue. In fact if you insist it is get ready for the “damn you’re stupid” mob.
The dual sport Alta had a horn. I suppose that'd work. I can't argue the lack of noise and passing issues since I experienced it on my Alta. Won't have my Stark until late this month. My main thing I like about electric is riding all I want without bothering my neighbors as much. All my immediate neighbors are cool tho.
Being quiet and not letting anyone know you are behind them is an advantage, not a disadvantage... hello
