Everyone always has an opinion on what OEMs should do, here's your chance to give them some feedback that will be gone over thoroughly.
Just completed. The questions were very interesting, and I am glad they were asked and an OEM is taking the initiative to build what we want.
The first time I selected my bike as my old race bike a 2001 RM250. It ended the survey almost immediately, so I opened the link again and it said it had already been submitted, so I opened in a private window and selected my bike as my gas gas 350 and then it had me go through the many various survey questions.

Any guesses as to which OEM is behind the survey? Yamaha staying ahead of the curve, Honda analyzing the space before committing, PIERER Mobility searching for additional functions/features. Suzuki’s overall lack of R&D and Kawasaki’s first-gen KX450 app limitations keep them off my list…
Good questions, either way!
Spelling mistake or harsh?
Well, it seems a bit of a f**k up with this survey, in the almost instant dismissal when you put in an older model bike, or a different brand that's not listed.
In that, quite a few people have a few bikes, and, like I, started with an older bike. To be dismissed, so to speak.
I've other, newer bikes than my beloved old dinosaur, but led with that.
And, I'm a continual 'customer' with regards to bikes I want to get, want to see produced, as a fair few are.
So, they miss out on a lot of consumers opinions and wants.
As I wrote, it's quite the f**k up when it comes to this being a meaningful and accurate survey.
It's a confirmation bias survey.
Man, that was really interesting.
Thank you for trying to take our survey. Dure to an overwhelming response, our quotas are full for your model.
I have been riding for roughly fifty years. When we were younger, we thought riding would eventually be like ski resorts or golf courses. People come in rent bikes and ride the woods or courses for a fee or annual pass. We thought bikes would continue to get lighter, more user friendly, and easier to maintain. A direction that would be more inclusive to more people riding. It didn't work out that way, the way bikes are now. High horsepower, disc brakes, heavy weight, aggressive tires, complex builds, has resulted in bikes that are more damaging to tracks and trails and are more difficult for the new riders to be introduced to.
I believe Electric bikes resolve the user friendly/easier to maintain aspect but the battery technology just isn't quite there yet for a lot of dudes. If you took the survey it was very much hinting that they want to put a cell phone on the bike. How else are you going to get the data the survey asks about (heart rate, lap analytics, fuel consumption, coolant temp, gps, etc..). I can only assume they want to integrate your phone in the handlebar and only allow you to use those functions with a subscription. Shit, the survey asked how much you were interested in being able to order parts and oil directly from your bike instead of a shop/website.
They asked about ordering parts/oil on almost EVERY question. I walked through the survey but did not submit (don't own a newer bike).
There is almost zero situation where I care to have a phone on by bars aside from maybe where I'm out in the woods. I ride to get away from that sort of thing.
Side panels and front plates the size of billboards.
Beginner/entry level motorcycles peaked with the XR200/250
That survey was slower than a vet rider on a RMZ.
I'm with you. Wish there had been an option for do not want or not interested in having phone connectivity.
Pit Row
I feel some spam coming my way😂
They list Kayo, Trailmaster and Volcon but not Stark?
Quick survey on that specifically:
A. Ill informed
B. Passive aggressive
C. Burying their head in the sand
Sounds like PIERER Mobility!
Those scooters have nothing to do with what we envisioned the direction scooters would go.
The very questions showed how detatched the industry is from consumers. The questions were the antithesis of what should be asked. We ride to get away from half that shit, not to embrace it.The movers and shakers of this sport have to engage people who never thought of this sport as a way to spend time, not those already engaged. Get those not riding to at least understand those that do.
Electronics are cheaper to add than better suspension or overall durability..
My ethnicity= other/cat
Male and female were the only genders to choose from. What about cats, pans, skateboards, toilet seats, and kick starters?
Asked a lot about lit pro like data.
The questions were set-up to lead you into a specific set of choices. They’re attempting to get us to choose between their focused categories of design options.
2025 CZ Models out coming soon . . .
Make that thing for $3999 and I’ll take 5. 💪🏼
The no emissions broom
I chose KLX 140 which is the only bike we own currently and it let me complete the survey.... hmm.
I am surprised that an OEM is looking for this information and not just a some aftermarket company with investor moneys.
