Prado is on such a high I think he can win from a bad start, he has that extra bit that he can depend on if needed.
I don't know much about Prado when it comes to track Conditions but I'd assume he is pretty solid be it hard pack, mud or sand.
Hopefully he brings the fight to Jett in 2025.

Prado winning from a bad start has yet to be seen. In the past if he hasn’t got a start he would struggle getting to the front,
I don't know what season u were watching, but Herlings almost holeshotted half of the races in 2018 and pretty much always had a top 5 start. There is a lap chart on their results page that you can check.
Maybe that was 2021 that you were thinking of.
And yeah.. Prado is just beginning to peak now. I think we moto fans are pretty blessed that we get to see Jett vs Prado in the upcoming years, otherwise AMA outdoors would have been a snoozer for the next years.

I’m very curious to know what happened to Febvre’s bike in that moto. I can’t understand why he was checking the air filter. Maybe the filter came off in the 1st turn crash and sucked it full of sand?!?!
My bad. I actually didn't realize that. I always just saw Netherlands next to his name. Kind of makes sense because his accent certainly isn't dutch.
Calvin lives in NL and holds his license with KNMV.
in MX2 Cam McClellan is also SA born and lives in NL, but I believe he still holds a SA racing license.
Gajser and Prado 3 seconds a lap faster than the rest…
Are we so sure that Prado automatically shows up on American tracks and slots above Sexton? Everyone else not named Jett and Sexton sure. But that’s a tall ask.
Usually takes the GP guys a season to adapt to the National. They can take their time feeling out the tracks in the GP's. The Nationals is WFO as soon as they roll on the track. Not telling you anything you don't already know. Look how much better Roczen was his 2nd mx season.
We saw that with Vialle last year too. But Tom also said the AMA 250 guys are fast.
If Sexton gets the bike where he wants it, he’ll be right there.
Not so unpopular opinion :
Even Jett would have a tough time beating Jorge right now.
Not saying he is not faster, but I think Jett had the edge over anyone in 2023. Not sure if that's still the case with Jorge today.
I doubt if Prado will be beating Jett in his 1st outdoor season but maybe his 2nd.
They swapped better lap times at their 2 races at MXoN.
Where is Weckmann? Thought he do all gps with Schmicker but they lined up Kooiker this weekend
Knee injury
Herlings seems to be struggling with something, maybe the bike or it could be something else. He looks heavy and stiff on the bike. He’s better prepared for this season than last year (wich he entered without racing in nearly 14 months) and last year he won in Sardinia and now he’s doing laps three seconds slower than Prado and Gajser in the sand.
Prado was using MXDN to test out settings for 2024. He said it himself, he was not super comfortable so there was more on the tank if he would have been on something he had more time on. Impressive.
Of course changing brands could make things completely different. Wish he didn't switch. Worst case lose a year. Also going from having everything available, to a rigid Kawi-program.
Really hope this doesn't mean he lose speed.
He has had armpump problems for the last years in first race, even first race Sunday. Not sure if that's it, but pretty much every weekend that's been the case before.
It's not enough anymore to win race 2 or 3 only unfortunately, with how Prado is riding.

Herlings doesn't seem to be able to stay off the ground. Crashed in practice yesterday, handlebar to stomach and ribs. That's why he was so off.
Starting to look more like AC9, fast as fuck but could have been much more.
All respect to AC9 (I love him) but comparing Herlings to AC... wtf lol.

As mention before here today. Last year Herlings come from a 14 Month break from racing. MADE the podium in Argentina and then won here in Sardinia which was the 2nd round last year.
commin into 2024 he had like 7 months since his last GP at his home track in Arnhem. Did only time practice that day.
anyway it has to be something that he doesn’t mention because he should be faster than this even on a little worse day then when he is 100%.
U just cant compare it like that. Prado improved quite a bit and gaijser wasnt there at that point of the season. Guess what the result might be if it was 2023 when those two guys are the only ones in front of him right now.. Herlings will be fine, he needs to find antoher gear and im sure he will.
Gasjer needs to clean up sector 1. He's been struggling with it for half the race. If he nails that, he's fighting for the win here.
MXGP used to be exciting and the best class to watch.. This season has been a snoozer so far.
