Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo, announced today that he is retiring from professional racing. The 27-year-old Floridian has decided to conclude his professional racing career at the end of the Monster Energy Supercross season in May, signifying the end to a 20-year journey with Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green™, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki and the Monster Energy Kawasaki factory team.
“I was seven years old when I signed with Kawasaki, and from my amateur career with Team Green to turning pro and my time in the 250 class with Pro Circuit, to the last four years with factory Kawasaki at the highest level in our sport, here we are 20 years later, and I couldn’t be more proud of the relationship we have built, and our accomplishments together. Through the highs and lows that are inevitable in this sport, Kawasaki has been more than just a sponsor; they have always treated me like family and had my back even when the road ahead looked uncertain. As I announce my retirement, I want to extend my deepest thanks to Kawasaki for their belief in me and their relentless commitment. It’s been an honor and a privilege to represent such an iconic brand, and to be a part of a team with the utmost integrity. I’ve made friends that will last a lifetime, and memories I will always cherish. My love for racing, and our sport in general, is stronger than ever, and I look forward to the future with the same excitement I had as a kid dreaming of the career I was so fortunate to have had.”

Wow! Really sad to hear. Such a good dude.
Short and sweet. You will be missed.
Edit, didn't realize it was a video, thought it was just a post.
What a lad. Thanks for everything you've contributed to the sport 💯 good luck in your next endeavors Adam.
Bummer!

As a person who grew up in Australia the Same age as AC… I watched and idolised and tried to replicate AC9 since 50’s from across the pond… a true generational talent that every fan of the sport loved and always will. Crazy to believe it’s happening even tho we all seen it coming. But I just hope he stays within the sport and we see the very best of AC off the track. Because he had so much to offer on the track we never got to see, but I believe he has so much more to offer to our sport once the helmet get hanged up.
Excited for his future but man… it’s hard to believe
Knew it was coming but man crazy the talent and just the unlucky injuries that can take people out of the sport. In a way this is probably good for his love of riding he can now ride for fun which im sure he will be doing a lot of and at his own pace and time the nerve thing probably isn't a huge issue.
Hopefully Feld finds a spot for him if he wants it, on bike track preview with a camera and mic and some analysis as hes riding the track would be absolutely awesome, and not a lot of people that are as good as he is camera and can still hit these big ryhthms for atleast a couple laps would be a unique thing.
Not surprised at all.
Bummed for AC.
He needs to be in announcing or a brand ambassador position.
Good luck in the future AC. What a pleasure watching you race. Obviously Ferrandis outdoors on the Kawasaki this year? Everything hints at it anyway.
Please, please replace Ricky in the booth. Pretty please. 🙏
I said it in the other thread too, but the dream team in my opinion: JT and Ricky do track side, Weege and AC take the booth.
Prado is taking AC's spot next year. I'd be surprised if Ferrandis didn't stay on Honda.
AC is one of the most well spoken voices in the sport. Hopefully he’ll wind up in the booth or in the pits or somewhere. He could even parlay that into bigger things like Jamie Little did. Good Luck AC!
Who´s gonna fill in for outdoors?
Watching AC grow as a rider and person throughout the years has been one of my favorite things to follow. The way he handled the low moments of his career really defined who he was, and it always made it easy to root for his successes. Hope he sticks around the sport, because he undoubtedly adds a lot of value and personality in whatever he does.
very great guy and sad he hangs up his boots
ill always remember him....with a selfie of him and me at Sam Boyd stadium in 2014
good luck and all the best for the future 🤜🤛
Man I feel like we know him since forever !
It has been a very successful and at the same time a tough journey.
I will always remember him fighting for the title in 450 MX, SX poles, the mini days and for instance his vid with RC, the incredible rookie start and toughness, and his 250 successes. His vlog was also top notch especially at millville. Hope he stays in the sport.
He has been saying that he wants to be a commentator lately, so I'm sure something cool will materialize for him. He should be Ricky's replacement.
My god get this man in front of a camera. He would be an incredible asset for the sport.
National Champion…… that is an exclusive elite club….well done… enjoy the next phase of your life👍
Pit Row
Please please please dump RC and hire AC.
Good luck with whatever comes next Adam.
I’ve got nothing but respect and admirations for guys like AC that go through the ups and downs of a top level race career in this gnarly sport. He can walk away with his head held high.
His statement is the epitome of class and gratitude. The dude has something special between his ears.
Congratulations on your career, thanks for the good times, good luck in your future endeavors.
SUCH A BUMMER!!!!
this goes in the books with the following names of guys I hated to see go before it felt like their time to retire(I'm sure you all have a different list), toss the names out if you do!:
1. Damon Bradshaw
2. Robbie Reynard
3. Trey Canard
and MANY others that were SOOOOOO talented and unfortunately injuries(physical and mental) took their toll and took from us fans such fun riders to watch...
AC is the definition of a class act and all around good guy. I hope he sticks around the MX scene.
Pastrana easily. Like AC, somehow never won a 450sx
Well it's kind of a bummer because he had a ton of potential turning pro, and he's such a nice guy. His biggest battle is a head of him trying to get a seat next to RC, without RC throwing a fit.
Facts.
Thanks for the ride AC!
Was it a specific crash that caused the nerve damage in his hand?? Which one?
Feel for AC, what could have been and i'm sure he would like to continue if his body would cooperate.
I remember 2014 and being so pumped, waiting for AC to make his debut. He was amazing and lived up to the hype, then those stupid injuries. AC is special, and I am for sure going to miss him riding. On the other hand, pumped to see any commentating he may do.
