Check the points…and there he is. For all the struggles everyone thinks he is having and the ones he has talked about…he’s still there. Hes not as ‘fast’ as Jett but he and coop are keeping this thing interesting.
sexton can’t be too bummed for how ‘off’ everyone thinks he is and yet he’s 1 misfortune away from having a shot.
not too bad for an off, rebuilding year
I'm on the fence with Chase. I respect the consistency and grit to push through but his speed is not there yet.
He had 6 months to set up the bike before SX and around 9 months total on the bike? He should be 100% if his hand injury isn't bothering him.
I think this is a better conversion of Chase. 1% less speed and like an 80% reduction in crashes
What 6 months did he have to set the bike up? I’m calculating 2 but my math skills are a little rusty.
He looked liked he got dinged up in that 2nd turn crash in the first moto to.

Yep been consistent..but still need some more speed. He’s gotta worry about Webb first before worrying about Jett.
Without first moto crash he would have been podium again.
From end of SMX to A1. Ok so 4 months.
"One misfortune away from having a shot"

Chase is a fasssst dude... Once he gels with that bike 100% and balance the speed he's capable of with his new found efforts at consistency, he'll be staying right up the sharp end 👌
Was that what happened? I knew he got caught up in it. I was disappointed to see Webb get around him the 3rd main
Nope. Gotta be in it to win it
100%
No championships have asterisks next to them
He Needs to stop pulling over and letting guys pass him, Not a good look.
2 misfortunes gave him the title last year....unpopular thing to say, but it's the truth. Not the best way to win titles.
He is looking pretty good this year though.
Can you send me a photo of your calendar? end of smx to a1 is 3 months with 0 break after a 31 round season. He rode a few days beginning of October then took off til end of the month so now that’s 2 months. In retrospect yeah maybe he coulda got another month of riding the ktm in but not sure if the lack of time off would have any sort of effect but yeah bro let’s see this 4 month calendar which dropped from 6 real quick.
16 points out?
Webb crashed out on his own last year. That's on him. Eli is a different story
Pit Row
One could say that about Dungey in 2010 but…
It routinely takes riders an entire racing season to figure out a new bike. Especially the ktms it seems. Pless seems to like it but he will also admit he just rides what they give him.
Probably banged up worse than it initially looked. In that Oldenburg crash/pile up…good ole’ Friese was behind Chase. He gunned the throttle to wheelie his bike free of Chase’s bike and slammed his front wheel right in to Chase’s left arm. Chase didn’t look like it hurt at the time with the adrenaline pumping, but if he didn’t feel it during the race then I guarantee he had a nice bruise after the race. Good angle of it in RC’s Title 24 podcast.
I have to laugh. Vince is always in the proximity of trouble even if he doesn’t directly cause it. Bambam worried about Vince t-bones Jett, Vince causes the red cross flag that causes points controversy, and Vince goosing his bike in to Chase. I swear…when Vince was born a good fairly cast a spell on him saying “you will be a pretty good dirt bike rider”. Then after the fairy left an evil sorcerer came in and took a dump on his head.
Didn't they get new frame in December?
One thing people seem to forget about the kid. He is tough as nails. Look at the hits he took not that long ago, and bam he was back the next weekend on the bike. Haven't seen to many take the hits he has and get up. last year he has little tip overs, unfortunate as they were, he still was there at the end of the year. Long series, and he shoots pretty straight some times little to honest i bet for the powers to be. But 20 points out 5 races to go, and riding better as we all seen last man standing sometimes gets it done.
fat lady isn't in the house yet. 5 outdoor races left, and it's spring time. 5 mudders could matter huh?
and hell yes i am bias as hell he will do fine!
I thought after he hit that weird wall jump thing and his bike stalled he jarred something on the bike - like some connection, the stalled later too. I know they said bent rotor but IMO something else killed the engine and it hindered him. He is extremely talented just needs a few cards to play his way..
Not really, Eli injured himself on his own last year too. Weird injury but anyone elses fault.
Bent the brake pedal. There is a picture floating around somewhere.
Ah thanks
