Ok I am gonna get RAILED for saying this, but I just gotta. And this is just my opinion.
First off Matthes and Lyndsey make a great team for the new moto show. Of which I have listened to all. In fact I been listening to Steve's stuff since the first Canada podcast. And DMXS since episode one hit the shelf.
Paul and Steve offer a great blend of opinions stemming from their individual experiences and authoritative history in the industry. Love all the little sponsored segments. Love the back and fourth debates over trivial issues. And it's comes off as very professional. I for one really dig the show.
Enter KW (The Original).
His first appearance on the show was fluid and he added a little more of a gritty feel to the show. His direct involvement only added to the already great mix. Hearing all the cool stories are nice. But since his first shot he has become arrogant, foul mouthed, and constantly steps on the two hosts toes, and the superstar guests. The segments do not flow together as Steve and Paul attempt to move the show along. KW seems more interested in sharing war stories and straying waaaay off topic as Steve constantly tries to drag the show back on topic.
Kenny seems like a really cool guy. And I know this is not the nicest thing to say. But I think Steve was fishing for opinions as he asked a guest on his podcast show what they thought about KW being in on the moto show.
I like it with Watson on there but agree he seems to be getting comfortable and I'm sure Matthes isn't pumped about the f bombs.
It's a fantastic show and I hope they do it all season for the nationals too. It's nice that the show is Monday right after the race to talk about it and get pumped about the next race ahead.
Matthes and KW are legit moto industry guys because they don't give a shit about being friends with everybody, or wowing listeners with how industry they are. They know they are just guys that are involved with dirt bike racing not curing cancer.
Paul lindsay...Constantly sounds like he's doing everyone a favor by talking and letting the listeners know how cool he is with all the insider information has (that he read off vital or heard from Steve who was at the race) Christ, if I had a quarter for everytime he says "you guys want the real insider stuff?" Then watson or matthes tell him he's wrong immediately after that.
IMHO ditch Paul and Keep Watson.

As for Penis Pass I can't stand that show. It's like waiting at the DMV. They ask the same boring questions over and over. Even the riders hate that show. "It's more or less a pivot works infomercial"
www.DMXSRADIO.COM blows everything else out of the water. By a mile. Kevin is funny, DAVID is handsome, and Brian is like a kind neighbor who won't take his hand off your son's knee.
XOXO
Motovagina
The last show with Watson and Deegan (I mean last week's) is a blast. I laughed my a$$ off on the one.
Nah, I think Kenny is a great addition to the show. I enjoy the character now.
I grew up in that time frame, so everything he is talking about I can relate to the people and even know some personally.
The show with Deegan and KW, awesome, and his stories about "back in the day" or Moto XXX Planet Honda(Or was it Plano) and stuff are interesting.
Even his own Podcast was great
The new shit, pretty boring. These Old school, or at least Older guys, is what made this sport fun.
I listen to DMXS too, but when DMXS had Watson on their show, that was a mint show too. Very good
Watson stays IMO.
Pit Row
DMXS gets my top vote but I'd hate to choose between the two. There's plenty of room for both. I miss Ping on DMXS - that summer was the best.
To the people in the chat room on Monday and in this thread, it's not my show. Paul and I are partners on this deal and trying to find a middle ground where we're all happy. Paul's background as a team manager turned agent is invaluable. He just has to get a bit thicker skin...
Kenny being Kenny (that might sound like a Eastbound and Down episode) is part of the charm and uniqueness of him. Ask anyone that knows him, he's a different dude.
I think the title of this thread is a little off because Kenny dropped 1 f-bomb last Monday and maybe one the week before. Reed's dropped them on my podcast show but that doesn't mean it's a "f-bomb" show.
The eff word gets a bad wrap in my book. Its a bird, let if fly.
IMO however, DMXS is the best!!! Yeah I'm a bit biased
Rock on Matthes!
I think there's a little lost in the host-host dynamic when one dude is one the phone. couple times of two people talking at once. Hopefully Paul shows up in person soon.
I shut this weeks episode off as soon as I heard him do the, "ohhh you hear that.. that's me cracking a nice fresh redbull...my personal sponsor"
Sit back and enjoy your options people.
FWIW - Mathes Podcasts or DMXS - It's a toss up for me.
Radio shows are popular because the people on them bring a different dynamic to the show... If everyone on there had the same personality and background it would be extremely boring! I like it when Kenny is on, his perspective definitely brings something to the show.
Paul is awesome, with his industry knowledge of how things work behind the scenes (teams, contracts, etc) makes it enjoyable and fun to listen to especially when Kenny disagrees or has a different opinion. I think some people don't care for Paul as much as Steve or Kenny because his segments seem very staged and structured. Which doesn't bother me at all.
Steve is great, you do a great job as ring leader... I think we enjoy your stuff so much because you come across as a real fan like, the rest of us!
