The number one thing to me is the constant dumbing down of the show. If someone is watching it for the first time its because they are watching it with someone who's been watching a long time and can explain the basics. The 7 people that stumbled upon it on accident can figure it out themselves, it's not rocket surgery. As others have mentioned, go deeper on the technical side both on the equipment and the riding and make us all smarter about the sport which in turn makes you a bigger fan. It would be nice to have someone replace RC that actually knows about the bikes-someone like Phil who knows the bikes inside and out and can help us nerd out on bike setup (I realize he's probably not the best guy for the booth, but he has flexed his knowledge several times on pulp before he has to shut up before he gets himself in trouble). Wedge doesn't even know where to put gas in the bike so we need someone seriously good next to him to pick up that deficiency. Thankfully we finally got him in the boot for SX as he can actually carry the show. Hell he could probably call the shots as far as which camera to go to WHILE announcing. It can't possibly be worse than who's doing it now.

I have seen other sports broadcast, soccer maybe, where there is just live audio from the stadium. Can we all sign a petition to do that. I just want to hear the bikes.
Let me rephrase that. They don’t care.
They are just unwilling to adapt. It sucks. I like weege but he dumbs himself down. Ricky is down right terrible. Weege hardly calls the race, everything is rider said/did this during the week. There’s no breakdowns of the racing. Who’s fast in sector x, who’s moving through the pack. When I can see a rider charging on timing and scoring and it doesn’t get brought up on the broadcast I don’t understand.
People that say we should just be happy to watch racing? Is such a cop out. If that was the permeating attitude the sport would never have even got on tv. The complacent attitude is why we don’t see any changes in the broadcast. We need new people running the show.

One of my biggest issues with US MX and SX racing is the complete disregard of tracking different riders pace. Imagine watching F1, MotoGP, any Superbike race, Nascar, Indycar or whatever and they put next to zero effort towards keeping track of riders/drivers either dropping back or coming through the pack with a good pace?
It doesn't happen. But here at our little pond, it's the norm.

This Bondo guy sucks!! Biggest friggin idiot in the business. Watching the broadcast makes me want to take a running start and kick him repeatedly in the nuts.
There are only two possibilities. He actually hates the sport, hates his job, hates the fans and is WILLFULLY effing up the broadcast just to be a total dick. I could almost respect that if this is what he's doing.
But more than likely it's the other possibility. He's just an idiot who sucks at his job! A retarded chimp with down syndrome could do a better job.
Like DV, I love watching dirt bikes racing a SX track on my full LCD TV! Watching how the bike's suspension reacts, the line choices, and close racing action. I don't want to watch ants from the ceiling of the stadium (on BOTH split screens) where you can't even tell who they are.
When they go to the two split screens, I find myself just zoning out, waiting for it to go back so I can see bikes!!! And now the norm seems to be that the split screens are being used for more than half of the time in each of the races. Use them for a few 10 second intervals and go back to the full screen. It's so friggin' lazy, (I'm sure he thinks "I'll just leave the split screens up for most of the race so I don't have to do my actual job". Idiot!)
This, and every complaint you've all mentioned about stupid cutaways to riders talking. Other than Nicoletti who can actually talk fast and express his thoughts quickly, it makes me hate the dumb riders that take forever to get a friggin sentence out, dragging the interview out even longer; ("uhh, I just want to say, uhh, my bike is working, uhhh better now, and I uhh,... blah, blah, blah). Just dump these interviews and the other cutaways that steal the full screen action!
Feld, Peacock, whoever,... Please dump this incompetent moron and get someone that actually loves the sport and knows how to direct the action in a GD broadcast!
Bottom line, the camera director needs to be someone who understands moto, someone who can recognize the the race development and know the storylines that are most relevant to the race and the championship. Bondo has proven for 15 years, he ain't that guy. Somebody else needs to call the camera shots.
Weege is absolutely the best play-by-play guy we have. I like Diffey, but Weege is core moto. He can reference in real time the career win leaders, track conditions at last year's event, or some shit Ron Lechien did in 1985.
RC was finally impressive with his observation that Webb was suffering from arm pump late in the Seattle main. That's all he needs to do and that is his job, but James seems to seems to notice and comment on these things more naturally.
Every Vital Mx member is sitting down with a notepad and pencil this weekend ready to stick it to Bondo.

First off, I was never mad about any of this. If you listened to what I was saying you’d see that I AGREE that it could be better. If bondo really is the problem, of course, get rid of him. But, a perfect live show is impossible, moto is unpredictable so perfect’s never gonna happen. And yes, it’d be awesome if it got better but I can actually enjoy watching the broadcast despite it not being perfect. Apparently you can’t so you go on vital and write “seriously fuck you bondo.” You think the broadcast executives are gonna see your post and be like, “Fire bondo immediately! Thank you Talon from vital Mx for that cryptic fuck you post. We’ll never let you down again”

Agree with most of the posts. We want to watch racing. Every cut in interview is the same thing every time. We don’t care 🤪
one thing that has been brought up by people I watch with and myself is the sound. Motor sports go to another level when you can hear what you are watching. Sx has been so low on bike sound. So much better when you can hear the bike in whoops or blast a turn. Especially when the camera angle shows the speed.
It’s not my problem that out of all of the replies I’ve posted in this thread you only choose to hone in on the one sentence I said “fuck you” to bondo on and continue to make it the focal point of your argument.
I don’t think I’ve ever agreed with someone more on this forum. Everything here is just objectively true.

Did they actually catch anyone’s fast lap? Seen the top 4 switch up at the end as we were watching sexton “just looking at the track”
