First season Showtime wore Spy googles, they was Scott's with a Spy strap and decal over the molded in Scott.

Your logic kind of reads like the fat lady at Starbucks that orders the thing with whipped cream and syrups and caramel and chocolate and sprinkles and says to herself what's the big deal, even athletes drink coffee. Seems out of character for you. I'll pop a caffeinated gel in endurance events and I understand the benefit of a certain amount of sugar during and after competition, but under no circumstance is the combination and concentration of the ingredients in Monster Energy beneficial to your body or your health.

I'm sure someone will be here shortly to tell us the monster cans have water in them...

I actually like the Monster Zero Ultra.  It doesn't make me jittery like coffee.  I don't drink 16oz at a time though.  Just 6oz/day.

This could have been a fantastic thread, however here we are on page 5 talking about how energy drinks are poison.

Kinda like your kidneys dealing with an energy drink. Laughing

Chase sexton literally was slamming red bulls at the test track and commented how he was pumped to have red bull as a sponsor.

I'm on par with professional athletes and I dabble in caffeinated beverages quite frequently. Caffeine is one of the half dozen or so known effective supplements for sports performance. Wait til you find out that they eat dessert tooLaughing

The ingredients look healthier than beer, or ice cream, or coffee for that matter.  I drink the Zero Ultra that is sweetened with Sucralose.  As long as you don't drink the entire can, it's not that much caffeine.  Seriously, what ingredient do you think is harmful in there?

It's clear that all the factory teams has a silent agreement that they won't claim eachothers bikes (going back to the Marty Smith days).

99% of the factory teams in the us probably run something illegal on the bike but they all choose to look the other way. And when it comes to the AMA, they could not even handle a bike claim at Lorettas the proper way so don't count on them to keeping the bikes within a legal spec.

as far as cover ups, Cairoli ran smaller engines in his YZF 450 between 380-420cc's before he went to ktm and they brought out the 350.

Tedder let that cat out of the bag:

"You know that’s one good thing about being with KTM: They ask what the rider wants and they just give it to you. And it’s not just the maps. If a rider needs more bottom end, they won’t just look at the electronics—they will actually go in and change the bore and stroke and give you exactly what you need."

I do not think caffeine is a health promoter but I do think it is a performance promoter. I don't particularly think it's a health detriment either unless abused. I totally drink too much caffeine but that's on me. I also love a good GU pack too.

As for the last sentence, I think if you were to take a monster, remove the sugar and caffeine, I don't see how it's detrimental at all. Maybe the preservatives could go too i guess.

You wont get an answer because there's not one. Most people saw coke eat away corrosion on a battery terminal once and think that "thats what it does to my insides!!!" while forgetting that they are not actually a car battery themselves..

Remember.. most people in the internet age regurgitate the same old stupid tropes and anecdotes from their personalized "urban encyclopedia" they've developed and that's truth to them. If L-Carnitine is so bad, I dont wanna be right.

Finally, one last off-topic note on energy drinks is that if they are zero calorie, they're not energy drinks, they're stimulant drinks. If it is low or calorie-free, it is going to be used to stimulate the mind and encourage you to use the energy you already have stored. The problem with 55g sugar in a can is when people consume energy when it is not needed, especially sugar.

The last us spec HRC cr125 ran a long rod that i think was the same length as the ktm rod.

I have never heard about a 250f running ktm parts inside.

Tour water hasn't been around for 10 years, they made it when Vans Warped Tour was really big and they were giving them out to performers and stuff for free advertising and to keep people from dying when it was 100 degrees out.

they actually just came out with tour water again in totally different cans though probably to compete with Liquid Death.

You're right it did come out to provide water for the warped tour, it has been around a long time.  You are also right on the new can design and how Liquid Death is actually competition for Monster. Also i think the other guy is right because while it's definitley water I think it's just refilled (with water) actual Monster cans they are drinking.  https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/RtwAAOSwBO5lzTco/s-l1600.jpg

As you can see it's not the old or new tour water can but an actual Monster can (likely refilled with water)

I can’t say how it is now, but they used modified frames since the production era began.

Honda hired a huge star in the early 2000s that went through 5 different frame changes before settling in on a frame mid supercross season.

Will should do an in depth investigation on P-cock.

P-cock could cock block an entire main event with this one!

I never read that one, that’s funny.

It’s funny how they all know, but nobody says anything.

Do you actually think they were messing around with bore and stroke? Or did he not know what was talking about?

What a goof. They wont touch "toxic shit"? What's toxic about it? It's vitamins sucralose and caffeine and salt in various blends and synthetic flavors.

Wait til you find out that they eat dessert tooLaughing

just wondering, what sport or hobby you play on a near-pro level, not even being a smart aleck- just genuinely curious!

Wasn’t a Honda MX/SX team using a KTM rod and/or piston in their 250Fs?

I know of a Kawasaki team Robbie Marshall was riding for used KTM style needle bearings in the case half that allowed much easier assembly and disassembly.

It’s certainly not likely that non factory teams or riders were ever on 134cc or 144cc 125 bikes before is it. Whistling

Big name factory teams do not get specialty built illegal parts at risk of being protested. B team absolutely did it but not on a riders bike that was capable of finishing on the podium.

Do I think there are lesser riders that are racing oversized illegal bikes on the track now? Absolutely it’s Pro racing and everyone is looking for a slight advantage if the can afford to do it.

This is the First time I have ever heard this claim of MC racing illegally vin numbered specially made frames. It was widely known he preferred and ran the 1993 CR250 frame with legal 1993 vin numbers for several of his winning years. He left when the aluminum frame came out and he could no longer race with the 93 frames.
