If a rider is an A rider in a non-AMA district, NESC, is he allowed to ride the Vet B/C class at LL?

I don't believe so. It'd be sandbagging.

That's the class i'm going to try qualifying for this year, so I would say no, get him out of there!

Seriously though, I think that the rules state if you've EVER raced A, you do not qualify for the VET B/C class.

Well that's a good reason to cheat. "They don't check".

Yeah, it's the only area qualifier that's close to me. I'm not a fan of Broome but it's a half hour from my house. You?

They lat former Pro's run that class, so I don't see why not. More sandbagging in that class than the C classes.

When did they let "former pros" run that class since they changed it to B/C?

Was anyone here at the North East Qualifier at E-Town last weekend?
I was goin through Lukatis's pics (which were really good), and the gates did not seem full at all. I checked the MX Sports Results and couldn't tell if they only posted results to a certain position in each class, or were the gates that empty?

You may want to take a look at the options for a 30 year old vet rider before you start talking about fake titties.. Which by the way I have no problem with..

Once an A rider, always an A rider.

In my experience, the early qualifiers are usually not very populated. Doesn't much matter anyway, the regional will be full and, in most classes, all you got to do is sign up to get that far.

my buddy and his kid raced. He raced +40 and said it was a decent turnout in that class. The results are up and +30 b/c is interesting....

Laughing Laughing Laughing loviin' it Mason - but judging by some of the responses the sandbaggers don't get it. I guess the "If I can't win, I won't play" attitude doesn't seem childish and sad to a lot of guys....Laughing Laughing Laughing

Wasnt too bad. Joeys B classes had like 20. A class was just about the same. Alot of riders still in Texas for the GNC though...but the weather was awesome!

Indeed, google search of the top two guys shows that they were running VET A and Plus 25A classes all the way back in 2007.

That is interesting. They should be DQ'd. I am a mid pack B rider at best. More then likely won't make it to LL's, but shit how do I even have a chance when "A" class dudes are pulling this shit. If this is true I declare shenanigans.

There is at least one rider listed in the 30+B/C class at Englishtown that finished in the top 3 that is an A rider in NESC. PM me if you want his name.

I know his name and he is well aware of his transgression, but seems to think that it is legal.

Matt I knew about the NESC rider but it looks as though he has company. What a joke. Where is the pride?

I would think that anybody that wanted to protest him would be successful. All that MXSports would have to do is lookup his results in NESC races.... but then again, its not an AMA recognized district, so who knows what they would do.
3/23/2010 11:13am
The rule is if you race up a class in AMA or non AMA competition, you must ride the higher class. Submit proof of the NESC results to MX Sports and that should be that.
