The dirt in Seattle is maybe the weirdest in the whole circuit, somehow soft and rutty and greasy at the same time. Couple years back there was a mud race there and the dirt was almost dark grey. Someone at the time said it was from one of the tunnel projects they did a while back

RC is so Punch drunk Its embarrassing to listen to him. Either that or he really legitimately didn't go to school at a young age

Normal for Seattle. I went to maybe 18 races there, and I'd guess 14-15 of them had rain before or during.

Right. Seattle can be clear sunny skies and be raining 15min later.

Ash content.

Sketchy as all shit when wet.

May not be a Mudder but 100% ruts in faces.

We're racing dirtbikes...  If it rains, it rains.  It's the same for everyone.  No I don't want them every week, but it's not the end of the world.

For those old enough to remember the CMC Golden State race at Madera...  At least 10 bikes got stuck in a rut and were left on the track each moto.  1/3 of the track couldn't be run, it was under 3' of water.

Where would be the best place to look for tickets that people are trying to unload after deciding not to go?

Just saw that last night....this is new. Haven't seen a roller like that yet. Needs to be the normal road paver version, but still it has to help, right? I think Dirt Wurx is lurking the forum and taking notes about their playdough track comments.

They should roll the track every round just for the sake of keeping the track in decent shape.

Rain backing off for Saturday looks like.

Some showers in the morning then possible sun breaks in the afternoon.

Trending in the right direction!

The wife and I go every year. We will be there this Saturday, but the weather in WA is unpredictable with how much rain you get. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned sunny on Saturday or became a downpour. Either way, I love me some Seattle supercross.

There is a 1M% chance there will be 9 whoops.

While that does make it look nice and helps it shed water some by removing equipment tracks, I wouldn't think that is heavy enough to get good compaction.

Wonder if they use a regular roller on obstacles or straights that don't require as much ground clearance as peaked jumps do.

No KTM Juniors and the map is showing 12. I guess I'll take my chance that 12 holds up 😎

Man, I sure hope the rain holds off.

Don't really want a mudder or a rutfest.

I think this track has more potential than most this year for great racing.

Ever seen a road tamp try and climb a mound of dirt?

It can't

It is probably a vibrating roller . I think it's mostly to seal up the track so the water doesn't mix into the dirt as easy.

Just peels out doesn't it? Pushing folds of dirt while it slowly digs in.

Anyways, Steve said on the Thursday show that free practice is canceled.
