You might even say it was "Schocking".

Hey, someone's gotta pick the low-hanging fruit. Cool

Definitely the "Rock Hard, Race Hard" award winner this year for getting his ride on.

These guys are just built different. Both times after I had my collarbone plated I couldn’t even raise my arm mid way let alone ride a dirtbike on a gnarly rutted Supercross track. Unreal!

A case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it don't matter.

Tougher than a 2 dollar steak.. and the best part is he’s grateful for all of his opportunities. Love that.

And let be real.. the only reason Roczen is growing a tache is because he wants to be like Coty! Lol

He's growing a stache?

And here I thought he just needed to wipe the dirt off his face after the race.

I can’t be the only one that gasped when he crashed in the whoops. Thought for sure he would have hurt that collar bone, but nope got right back up and kept at it. Dudes a tank

Well done Cody. Now take a week and let that collarbone heal up.

Let me start this by saying it was a hell of a ride this weekend for Coty, and I've definitely become a fan. It's also cool to see what club has been able to build over the last few years. However, I am quite surprised, though it does seem to be in line with their rulings; that the AMA didn't add a few seconds to his overall race time for that track cut. It took him just under 10 seconds from when his bike hit the ground to when he got moving again. The segment difference from his lap before was 7 seconds. His overall lap time the lap of the crash was about 6.5 seconds slower than his previous lap time.

I would think they consider the rider position and the relationship to/how it effects his competitors before assessing a penalty in a crash situation.

Coty appears to be genuine and the real deal.  He is a brute for sure.

Super impressed with him! Just unbelievable!

I've never break a collarbone. But have broken a bunch of others. Just incredible to even ride, nevermind get a 5th overall in aa triple crown!

And hearing his interview with Pulp after the race, Nothing for pain other than Ibuprofen or similar. No injections or other stuff.  Just amazingly Tough . I'll be a fan of his for life!

My wife broke her collarbone when she tucked the front end on her Beta Xtrainer in 2016. When she stood up I could tell something wasn’t right the way her arm was hanging. Had it plated a week later and was riding within 2 weeks after surgery. It’s shocking how good it feels just a few days post op. I did call my wife ”one tough crème puff” for a while after it though. She didn’t find it funny…

I like that quote and just because Deegan hit the brakes and didn’t take out Coty again doesn’t mean that he is excused for last week.

Better than twinkle toes.  I don’t know how these dudes keep getting it replated.  Don’t make any kitchen plate jokes you will be ok

He talked about working on it right after surgery to not let the inflammation set in I wonder what exactly they were doing ?

Painkillers work

One of the media outlets (can't recall which one) was reporting that he did not take painkillers on Saturday.  He wanted to be clear of meds for the race.

Tough as nails and still well within the points if something happens to the leaders. Nobody expected this much consistency from him, not to mention outpacing his teammate, Jeremy Martin. That was another great ride from Coty. I'm a fan.

and he was racing hard for a position that he didn't need...

Guy has no reservations about having to do it the hard way. Club may have a hard time hanging onto him.
