Hammacker? What’s is that, German or Austrian heritage?

Hammaker is not a dutch word. It would maybe roughly be used as ham maker then. So if it’s dutch, then the translation would literally be… ham maker. Which in both cases is never used. Since you’d use something like butcher instead.

Think "haam" maker, as in horse stable gear, saddlery and collar maker. Sounds very Dutch Amish to me.

The foregoing wisdom brought to you by Google.

I didn't say it was Dutch.  I said if it was, it made sense because of where he was from.  No offense to the Dutch on here.  Funny that you mentioned "Butcher" since I asked Kenny at Fox for a buttpatch his rookie year that said The Butcher since his name was Ham-maker.

I thought Schock handled it well too. You could tell he was doing his best to bite his tongue.

Like I said in another thread, this is just one of the differences between a kid raised in PA and one raised in CA. Grew up 20 min from Hammaker's home town. It's a different world than CA, especially SoCal. I spent 12 years in CA and am very happy I am not there any more. I will always remember the first time I met a kid from CA (Huntington Beach). It was in Basic Training, and he was the cockiest, brashest, over-the-top bullsh!tter I'd ever met. We became good friends, and later at Tech School I met his brother, who was even worse. He drove a slammed VW with a "No Fat Chicks" bumper sticker. Surfers and moto riders both but totally different personalities than mine.

Mitch should have rolled over and punched him in the dk! Since he is 18 , it wouldnt be hitting a minor. Would have been well deserved.

Point of clarification....  "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_Dutch" does not equal "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_people".  Amish are a subset of Pennsylvania Dutch, not Netherlands Dutch.  Pennsylvania Dutch are, in fact, not Dutch at all.  They are Swiss/German in origin.  Their has been some effort over the years to force the change of the name to "Pennsylvania German" to ease this long standing confusion.   It appears this misnomer began originally since most English speaking people in the Americas during the time of Swiss/German migration to Pennsylvania tended to refer to all Germanic speaking people (be it Dutch or German) as "dutch", perhaps a broad anglicization of the German word "deutsch".  So, it appears Seth has a Netherlands-Dutch name which is just coincidental to the fact he is from a predominantly Pennsylvania-Dutch area.

The icing on the cake was him taking the podium that night. Very impressive he kept his composure. I'm sure Mitch is happy with how he handled himself. It is very easy to get hot-headed during a race and make rash decisions, especially younger riders. He let his riding do the talking while Deegan showed his true colors that night. I'm just glad we have a local rider to cheer for.

Haha, so this is what everyone is all mad at Deegan about?

"Hunted him down" to basically walk up to the rig and calmly give him a WTF? Shoulder shrug?

Big nothing burger here ya'll need to chill

I lol'd at the TV as soon as I saw that.

Momma said knock you out,  keep my helmet on.  Don’t doubt Mitch, he’s been in the business and could have TCB but it was funny for TV to see a woman create a quick end to any potential Jerry Springer moments.

I'd suggest he went over there fully aware there was no threat of Seth doing anything back

he went over there with the corner of his eye on exactly where the camera man was.

Because it was on camera i thought it was a hoax or proof he’s still a kid not knowing what to do.

Don’t forget his dad raced in the 90’s where he said everyone hated each other so maybe Haidan picked up that mentality.

Crazy how adults give young adults that are good on dirt bikes all the freedoms in the world to do what they want when they want, but would bitch up a storm if some 18 year old was pitted next to them acting the same way Deegs did.

There's 10 people in his way long before he gets into the Kawi semi. You guys are acting like he's gonna bulldoze thru everyone like the Hulk or something. He's a young dumb kid who was only gonna chirp at him. This wasn't even close to a physical altercation. Y'all need to chill tf out.

He went over there to give Seth the business for causing the crash and taking him down, not to look tough. Main problem is he was too heated the entire time to realize HE'S the one who caused the crash is the first place. Hopefully 'Haiten' has realized by now why the crash actually happened, but i doubt that's the case...

Does that mean you aren’t expecting an instagram apology?  If you are gonna ride with fearlessness like Deegan does and bounce back from injuries chances are he thinks he needs to be a terminator in training too.  He’s gonna send it on and off the track hopefully not to SD juvie hall:

How often do we see a top rider go to another semi like iron man with a camera and then not even give a message turned away so it was a bit controversial.
