This championship is starting to look like it's coming down to Jett Lawrence and Cooper Webb, since he's the only one keeping Jett in sight with Sexton now 20 points down and Tomac 26, Good on Cooper giving Jett some credit on his racing ability and I hope the other's can manage to gain back some points in the next few rounds and keep it interesting. It's crunch time.
he's gritty and fast as hell..
Mad Max'd the flag girl!
JT: "what's it going to take to close this up?*
Paul: (hearty laugh)....
Come on JT. They all know. What do you want him to say lol.
Cops tho…. Me digs the Webb.
I’ve never been a big Cooper fan, but he’s really grown on me. You have to respect his grittiness and mental toughness.

He is more likable when he looses than when he wins and flip people off or does his lame finger guns.
He came off as an asshat last year when interviewed, but it may have been because he was so unhappy at KTM.
He seems much more relaxed now
He's not in any state of denial about Jett's ability and that's great, because nobody ever made any progress without facing up to the truth.
….and he didn’t blame the Monster girl at all. I feel like that was at a hyper critical point in the race and that gave Jett an extra 4 bike lengths not to mention it would have to mentally distract you for a little bit. When asked he just blew it off and said it didn’t affect the race and hoped she was okay. She is totally hot so maybe she’s getting a little bit of the hot chick benefit of the doubt.
I've always had a love/hate opinion about Webb but there ain't no denying the dude is a racer. And tougher than a $2 steak. Hope he gives the Jett a run.
I wonder how far over the limit his ticket was for? Maybe the trooper was a fan and cut him some slack.
The race is 20 minutes long, if loosing 0.5-1 second in the first lap is the decider, he would not win without that loss either.
It’s loosing contact that is critical and there is a point that happens. 4 bike lengths is huge at that point in the race. Would Jett have won anyways? Oh yea, almost for sure….but every little bit hurts or helps. That obviously hurt some….however much or little.
These guys are used to dealing with the unexpected shit but you gotta admit...Coop had to be a little distracted. Good on him for maintaining focus.
Gives a whole new meaning to banged the 30 second girl 🤣🤣🤣
" And tougher than a $2 steak. "
And what would that make Jett. He took himself out trying to punt Jett.
Dude has come so far in a short amount of time. The races in Paris last year he looked nowhere near top guy quality. Looked like he would be a 5th to 10th place guy.
But the dude has won 2 races and is right in the title fight. He and AP7 have both exceeded my expectations considerably. Webb has a bit of Reed about him. I think he thrives on people writing him off and he always believes he can win when no one else does. He is always lingering in the points battle too.
In my mind, ain't no one gonna beat Jett but Jett. That doesn't effect how tough Webb is...does it?
Bingo. He knows whipping this kid is not going to be easy, possibly the biggest challenge he has had to face in his entire pro career, and it takes a Man to admit it.....without using those exact words. To legit straight up beat Jett on a good night will take all he has, but I definately appreciate him not wanting to quit. He is willing to fight.
For the record, I'm not a Cooper fan, but I admire him being a Man about this current state of the sport. Jett is truly special, and he knows it.
Well, I'd say Jett's education of racing the big boys is moving along at light speed. Took a direct hit from one of the masters and CW ends up on the ground and Jett keeps rolling along. These boys better up their game if they want to slow the Jett Train. Just sayin
Pit Row
I'm not sure there's anyone in the series that can straight up beat Jett. Some folks may not like him but only a blind man can deny his natural talent. If you haven't had a chance to see him outdoors...you're missing something special.
I respect him for not throwing the 30 second girl under the bus like many vital members did…. maybe it was because he’s married, respects women, and would have gotten backhanded by his wife if he said something disrespectful about the girl. Whatever the reason, good on him for making light of it,
What do Cooper Webb and Austin Forkner have in common?
I leave someone else to answer this one!
Reminds me of Reed. Reed would be a pretty distant 3rd in the Canada races then show up to A1 and close the gap. RC did that with James, got smoked in Canada in December’05, then showed up with Stews speed at Anahiem.
In all honesty Webb looked a little lost last night trying to run down Jett. He has rubbed him a few times but unable to run him down besides Jett crashing. Respect to Webb and guys like Anderson and Tomac.
Both ride dirt bikes.
Both ram Monster Girls
