Where did you expect him to re enter the track? Thru the mud holes between bumps??

I actually do think Jett will be the first guy since RC retired to make a serious run at his records. Haven’t felt that way about anyone till Jett. Even RV and Stewart. Stewart I never felt he was going to be able to stay consistent enough and Villopoto I just felt it was too competitive of an era. Jett seems to be coming in here at a perfect time. All the other top guys are 30ish and about to be gone. Everyone his age is nowhere close to his level. He will have to deal with Chase for about 3 more years maybe? Chase is in his 5th year on the 450 and is 24 years old. He should be right in his prime right now and Jett worked him for 22-0 as a rookie and now as a SX rookie he’s working the field again. Generally speaking, the 3-7th year on the 450 is the sweet spot for a guy’s prime. I don’t think Jett has hit his yet and he’s already dominating.

RV basically beat all the greats of the modern era.

RV was hurt too much to threaten any records. He's got something like 13 wins in 450mx

From memory he won every championship that he was not injured, and those injuries were at the start of his 450 career, correct me if I'm wrong of course.

Technically he lost the 2010 SX Championship when he crashed out. But he was 11 points down on Dungey with 4 rounds left when he did. He’d have had to win out. Definitely possible. Just unlikely based on the way that season was going with them trading wins. Dungey was in control for sure.

Other than that, his rookie year in 09 SX he was well out of the championship before missing his first race. From 11 SX onward he won every championship he entered in the US.

Holy shit only 2 spots? Fuck it guys. When you’re back in the pack and someone goes down in front of you, pin it off the side of the track and pass a few guys. On top of not losing tons of time by staying on the track and navigating through the riders, you gain positions and maintain your track position time relative to the leaders. Absolutely vital on lap one and literally likely gains you several positions by races end. 2 spots you take that deal every single day and twice on race day.

He got off easy with a 2 spot penalty. Passed way more than they off track.

Yes you're wrong he basically only raced 2011 and 2013 mx. You're not threatening any records when he miss outdoors every year

Yeah I'd need to see it again but hard to understand only 2 positions. Didn't he gain more than that, and that's aside from just the base penalty for accelerating off track?

Had his name been Anderson he would have been penalized at least 5 positions.

Brian is absolutely losing it in the AMA truck as I’m typing.

And in a weird way I do think that actually helped him win 4 straight in SX. Other competitors grinding MX every year and he didn’t race it in 09, 10 or 12 and obviously retired from AMA racing after 14 SX. He got burnout at age 26 even with significant time off. Could have happened sooner if he were racing 9 months of the year for his entire brief 5.5 year career on the big bike.

Absolutely insane to only dock two positions. Should have been five minimum. Probably seven.

What do you accomplish by walking over to another pit, there’s already a dude in a wheelchair and Seth hasn’t picked a fight with anyone his whole career.  Funny how Deegan kept his helmet on as a coward.  Sad to say but Deegan is not looking so good of a rider on or off the track cutting the track, punting another innocent rider off, and maybe ending Forkner’s career putting a take-out move on him and then saying how he’s going back for the kill.  I do realize he is under a lot of pressure and it may not even be him that is instigating this but “Danger Boy” should be in danger of some kind of suspension.

Unfortunately he’s not much of an example to other riders i thought were clean like Webb who went in for the kill on Jett and then thanked the lord after the race.

Look at the bright side. He was only a second a half off the pace and I am sure he can find a few more of those weak spots he talked about after his win to clean up on and get back in the Danger Zone.

No whoops so the deep south could create an opportunity for their Carolina boy to have any chance of catching up to Jett since he may have been 2 seconds a lap slower if they were there.
