I don't have this bike, so can anyone help him out with this? 105mm dynamic sag, 35mm static sag?
Those numbers look about right. My bike’s numbers are almost identical to this. Being 6’3” and around 215lbs, I had to install a 6.0 rear spring to achieve this.
That seems strange, I'm similar weight and only needed to go to 56nm (5.7kg) to get 105/37
My search isn’t working but can someone tell me what kinda oil is recommended? I know everyone’s got some opinions but for example my previous 24 Yamaha I was told specifically not to run synthetic… kawi I seem to hear mixed answers. What’s the vital opinion?

$189.95 - $239.95
Anything motorcycle specific with JASO MA2 rating will do. Semi-synthetic or full synthetic would be ideal.
I bought all OEM for my first service and the Kawi oil was so surprisingly cheap I'll probably just use that.

Turns out that steel coolant isn’t quite as heavy as I once thought. Less than a half lb. I imagine a rubber hose isn’t all that much lighter. I wonder where the extra 5lbs on this gen comes from ?
how much for two sets?
Tires, airbox, bluetooth dongle, rear hub? Who knows.
Does the bike feel heavy?
The tires are roughly half of the weight gain and the exhaust the other half.
a lot of noise about the weight when it’s basically in the tires.
put stark tubes and pirellis on it and should be as light as a 23. Maybe a lighter muffler too.
Mx 34 Rear tires weigh 1 lb more than the MX 33

I was touching and looking at a 50th anniversary KX450 at my local dealer a couple days ago, and I got a boner. Definitely looks better than my MC350 and my Stark that might show up this century.
I know the rear hub is bigger and stronger. I also heard the tires are at least a couple pounds heavier than last year’s.
It’s honestly a really good bike.
Swap moto had a big and tall 450 shootout on YouTube a week ago and it got 2nd to the Yamaha because the Yamaha has more power. I think I'd be buying the Kawasaki but it'd be a tough decision. When my 350 is wore out it'll be time to change back to a 450 in a couple years.
My last race was in 1993, I was on a 1991 KX250. When I saw the Anniversary bike I just about messed myself. It's a blend of 1990-1993 KX250's. Just waiting on FMF header pipe. Everything else is installed. Twin Air kit, FMF, P3 skid plate, hand guards, radiator guards. It rips pretty hard..

The silver wheels killed the 50th for me. Can’t stand them. My dealer had the 50th for $300 cheaper than the regular.
That was the 90's look. I'm not a fan of the black wheels, different generations I guess.
You're not going to be faster on the track by shedding 2 lbs off the bike. Hit the gym, or hit it harder if you're already working out. Drop some weight and build more strength. Much cheaper.
What happens if hes doing that already?
Weather your a C rider, A or pro, you're not going to see any benefit from dropping a pound or 2 of your bike. People get to cought up in the weight thing. I was that guy years ago, but realized it was a waist of time and money. It can make a difference if you can reduce a significant amount of weight, but there's not much you can do with these bikes. I recently removed 45lbs of my sport bike and added 20hp, now that was a significant gain and worth the $. That's probably why im divorced lol.
The changes to the frame make the bike more “flickable”, so as strange as it may sound, it feels lighter on the track than the previous gen. I had a 2019 before I bought this.
Hello everyone! New to the forum and just picked up a new ‘24 KX450 last month. Just curious, does anyone have any info on when aftermarket parts will start being available for it? I emailed Pro Circuit about the Ti-6 system and they said sometime this month, but still nothing on plastics, skid plates etc etc.
I have a PC T-6 on mine and it was readily available.
I’m not chasing weight savings. I go through the bike out of curiosity what could be improved. The coolant pipe looked like low hanging fruit to do something “factory”. The same principal can be said for your FMF muffler.
No doubt even if i removed 5 lbs I wouldn’t tell on the track, especially when 10lbs of dirt is easily accumulated on the bike in a moto.
It does seem like it could be vulnerable to damage the way it comes.
The second I saw the steel crossover pipe I instantly thought why would they do that there?
4 stroke glowing Hot header will transmit heat into the steel pipe that is now heating the coolant that was just cooled down going through the radiator.
A Silicone radiator hose will not absorb and transfer heat like the stock steel pipe will.
P3 had skid plates in stock 2 weeks ago. 5 different choices. I installed the Enduro plate with integrated linkage guard because I'm doing some singing track riding. $200-$300. (Kawasaki offers a cheap plastic skid plate for like $40.)
