I was a dogger fan as well, note the custom bad bones helmet I thought was a good idea.
My dad made a career out of cinematography yet couldn't take a moto photo to save his life. I think he was too into the races. The second picture was found in an album and it says "1st 125 Win!" on the back in marker. Look closely, that is my green fender on the left of the shot. lol
I have quite a few in albums. I need to get them all on digital. But here are a few I just retook with my iphone. Sorry they are grainy but it was 43 years ago.
1980 at Saddleback on the Thursday before the Carlsbad 500GP. Nobody there except me, my brother-in-law and then a Suzuki box van pulls up and out comes the first Full Floater 250. Brian Myerscough was the rider and Chris Haines was his mechanic. We chatted for a few and then Brian took off for some laps. He was going to race the 250 Support class at the GP.
Here is Brian.
Here he is racing the 250 Support race at the GP. He won that class.
Here is Broc Glover at the same race.
How about Jeff Ward.

Glad to see someone else's mom had headless kids, too!
Here are some from the 1980 Carlsbad 500 GP.
Me getting DeCoster's signature for the first time.
Here he is riding.
Getting another signature from another of my idols Brad Lackey.
Here he is riding.
Of course I have to have a Marty Moates photo since he was the first American to beat the Europeans there. This just after he pulled off after the second moto. Jeff Ward is in the background.
Here Marty riding.
A rare one of Danny "Magoo" Chandler riding a Calvin Franks Honda 500 4 stroke.
How about some 1982 CMC Golden State Series photos from Prairie City.
Danny Chandler leading Brad Lackey. Danny was just signed by Factory Honda and this was practice for Lackey before he went to Europe and won the 1982 World 500 Championship.
Danny rode in the 125 class also.
How about a Factory 250 ridden by Jeff Gibson.
Or Donnie Hanson the soon to be 250 National Champion that year.
Here some from Washougal in 1982.
Mark Barnett.
Darryl Schultz.
My man Magoo with Mike Bell behind.
Johnny "O" Show.
Jeff Ward.
Man.... Mumbles is the undisputed king of photos once again. Awesome stuff.
The "1st 125 Win!" pic is an all time classic!! 🙂
The helmet painter was Don Serrano. Had two done by him as a kid, both badass!
80’s…
Scott Burnworth
This photo reminded me of this ad. Uhg... it still gives me the chills.
Pit Row
the real question is? how in the world did you pull the hole shot with the uphill start at HH on the slowest bike that year?.
1982 CMC Trans-Cal 250 Pros - Saddleback Park
I found a few from me racing a 87 KX500 at Washougal Pac-West race in 88 I think it was. Saturday ran the track normal then Sunday they ran it backwards (or vice versa).
Ronnie in pink
That was a hideous look for him. Broc looked much better in pink.
