I plan to take my kid’s once he moves to a 250.
Might not be the best year but, it’s still fun.
You coming out of retirement?

I miss it a lot. If the 125 will scratch the itch somewhat safely I will.
Do it. You know how to ride and be safe.
Absolutely love my 125. It's technically my 2nd bike but there are certain tracks that I love bringing this bike, more than my 250F. At 42, it helps keep me sharp.
Because You want to ride one.
Even at 6'9" and 240, I have had a ton of fun on 125's.
They are great at teaching You to carry momentum and will help make You a better, smoother rider. That is not just powering themselves out of a mistake.
The great thing about a Varg or electric , is that You can set it up to run like a 125 one moto, and a 450 the next, or halfway through.
There is still nothing that sounds as good to my ear's as a crisp 2 stroke being revved in the correct gear. Nothing that brings up the same memories. And I do like the smell of the exhaust .
Sweet bike and sweeter background landscape 👍
Dude, the first year of the "Full Floater" was almost like cheating...
Best looking 125 of all time
Because I love the smell of pre mix in the morning!
Just FYI - the early 144s had a problem with the piston catching on the exhaust ports and (I believe) the piston skirt hitting the crank.
Later on this was fixed. I’m also interested in a pre-2015 150SX
That’s a clean RM man. I noticed your bike in the bike checks awhile back. Well done.
That damn Devol master cylinder guard took me five months to find for my cousins 95 RM 250 build lol. The Devol frame guards took even longer 😂 🔫
Kind of piggy backing on my previous. We have a 125 because my boy is 17 now got it just before he turned 16. I'm a strong believer that the jump from an 85 to a 250 is way too much. He was not ready for that and I've seen friends kids all get hurt doing that. I'm big on technique before speed and we have been to the hospital 1 time with this kid from riding because of it. He isn't blazing fast but he is no slouch, way faster than I was at that age. Like some of the others said it makes you carry corner speed and you have to work to make it go fast. It pisses him off to no end to get beat by 250s that he feels like he is a better rider than. I keep telling him this is by design get beat a couple years here, get faster, get stronger and be able to hang with the 250s. Then when we put him on a 250 his skills will be way more advanced. Everyone should ride a 125 at least a year and learn how to ride a big bike.
Makes me feel like a goddamn hero holding a bike wide open.
Don’t do this to me man. One of my bigger regrets in life was buying the YZ that year instead of the RM. That and saying No when my brother asked me if I wanted a ticket for The Wall concert ( needed the money for riding ). Guess I’ve had a pretty good life so far with those few exceptions 🤣
Pit Row
That’s why it always boggles my mind that Keefer doesn’t like 2 strokes. I don’t even know how that’s possible. How does he not feel the sickest, screaming a 125 around GH… It’s just beyond me
Gender dysphoria?
Edit again:
He's a corporate shill. Know when you are watching a commercial versus reality.
Because @cclay47 built a perfect replica of your first Moto bike from high school!
Love this ol' girl
His review of the Ktm 300sx map literally reads exactly as a paid one page ad would!
Are you experiencing a rich feeling on your new KTM 300 SX? Chances are that you might! Jamie Ellis at Twisted has found a way to get into the stock ECU to clean up your orange two stroke as well as get you some added pulling power. Twisted’s ECU tune will add throttle response (excitement) as well as more pulling power out of corners without the rich/lethargic feeling some of you may be experiencing. Your KTM 300SX will now have some added low rpm response with better mid-range pull. How do you get that? Simply mail in your 23′ KTM 300 SX ECU to Jamie at Twisted Development as well as pay the price of $299.99 and you can have a completely different KTM 300 SX engine character. You still retain the four stroke like lugable feel but will be adding more response as well as more 2nd-3rd gear pulling power exiting corners.
Call Twisted at 951-698-7222 or email them at sales@td-racing.com to make an appointment to send in.
Wait... so you cough up 5 figures for a bike that comes with issues and then another $300 to remap the ECU to "fix" it? And you still have no way to make further ECU mods yourself? So, another $300 every time a change is desired?
How long does it take Yamaha guys to remap their bikes with the stock system?
Looks like the next money drain is going to be monthly subscription charges from the OEM to access the stock engine management systems... and then what do you do once the manufacturer stops supporting the platform?
No wonder I like my carbureted bikes.
Forget it.
Because pussies can't
& they are loads of fun
The video description says it's a -85 CR125 model which is essentially the same bike but bit slower engine in stock form
As far as my personal preference I really love to ride my 150SX when the track is not too soft
