Wait, is this the LCQ studios that used to be a solo guy trying to develop a moto game while in college?! If so, this is freaking awesome. It is awesome either way. I used to follow him on facebook way back when he was first getting started.
It is! Michael Hodge is the main guy behind LCQ. Turborilla was planning on making a very similar game to his original Motocross: Chasing the Dream demo. We contacted him to see if he wanted to come together to make the best MX game possible instead of being competitors. The plan is to join forces and make a game for the community. We'll release a demo on Steam in the coming weeks where the community can give us feedback. The goal is to get the community highly involved from the start.
Ah yes Hodge! I remember now. It's cool to see someones hard work pay off years later. He really had some good looking early gameplay years ago. Can't wait to see what you all put out. I'll have to find some time to get back onto Steam.
So is this going to be a separate game from Motocross CTD or will that be updated to this new game?

What a great time to be into MX games
I hope its better than Mad skills motocross 3 is
Mad skills 2 is great and I still play it, 3 sucked and I gave it a good try and spent a lot of money upgrading bikes but it still stunk. I will try the PC game because I do buy them all.
This will be a separate game. The original CTD will be taken down. More info on how that will work should drop later this week.
this is good to see. added to my list so when it gets released i'll be all over it
We will be leaning heavily on the community during the development process. We want to get this in the community's hands as early as possible to get feedback and ensure it's up to your standards. This is meant to be a game we develop together. It won't have many similarities to MSM3. It will have a similar mentality of easy to learn and hard to master.
That's a bummer. Glad I got it a while back, but sucks there will be no support for it.
Thanks for the info!
I noticed there was no terrain deformation....
Let me clarify, no need to be bummed! This new game is a partnership between LCQ Studios and Turborilla. It will take Chasing the Dream to new levels and continue where LCQ left off. You won't have to buy the game twice. So it's kind of the same game, but a different game according to Steam (for stupid technical reasons that aren't interesting). Chasing the Dream is still being supported, but now under this new title in collaboration with Turborilla.
Yet! We have plans for terrain deformation. Can't have a legit MX game without it. We are still very early in the development process, but we want to get the community involved early, so we are announcing it now. Demo to be released soon! The first demo will focus mostly on testing multiplayer infrastructure and bike and rider physics. Then we'll take the community's feedback and go from there.
This looks awesome!
How do you get into this since it isn't for a console. What would you need to get started playing? PC & controller?
Right now, we are working on the PC version. We plan to bring it to consoles at some point.
Hey Joe, is Bryan S still involved?
I’m excited about this!
You bet! He is still the CMO and part owner of Turborilla.

If I could just get the wheelie up the jump face and lean forward to catapult me ahead, I would’ve like MSM3. It was just tooo hard. I wish there was a way to not have to do that to win.
The art style looks good, a little cartoony mixed in with realism. I like it. As arcadey as it looks, the physics look alot better than legends at this point.
Thanks, I really appreciate it! It's been a long journey, but I'm stoked about where we're at and our future plans with Turborilla involved. It's gonna end up being a sick game.
This looks amazing awesome
Wishlisted on Steam 👍 any chance of SteamDeck compatibility at some point?
That’s good to hear because I bought the original LCQ game.
Id love it to be along the lines of MCM2 or Unleashed, i dont want the realistic games like most knobs moan over, it just needs to be fun and we havent had one like that in a long time
MCM 2 Steel City. Doing the tabletop section was awesome!😃
Thank you! We have been targeting the Steam Deck since day 1👌 It runs pretty well, actually, and we plan on optimizing for the deck even further.
I think you'll like this then. It won't be a realistic sim. We want it to be authentic with realistic tracks, animations, and SFX, but the controls and physics are more on the arcade side and more accessible.
as long as there is SX tracks and we can throw decent controlled whips... im excited. how do we support this as a community to keep the fire alive, what can us as a community do to help?
