Ok! that bike actually looks pretty nice, now that there are some really clear photos. I liked the graphics on last years bikes better, but the overall look of the bike is pretty nice. Can't wait to see what kind of performance gains this bike has over the previous one. Those new radiator shrouds are really starting to grow on me.
Terrible looking
Definitely an improvement over the prototype shrouds. Still not a fan of the graphics. Needs something towards the seat to break up the red a bit. Something similar to the 2023 graphics would be nice.
Distinctive 80's vibe from those shroud vents. I like it. Also, take a look at the end of video, when the 3 bikes are coming at the camera. Looking good...
Not seeing anything retro about this.
Give people something to talk about😇
The graphics are very basic but those shrouds will work very well for aftermarket graphics companies to get creative.
I like it.
And side number plates continue to shrink with each generation.
I grabbed a bunch of the close up shots from the press release.

Now just we need E-mx 2025 model
Well, being unable to see something that's staring you straight in the face isn't unusual here, so I wouldn't be too concerned.
In fact, I'd almost say turning a blind eye to the obvious is a Vital tradition.
Pit Row
Funny they painted Pirelli on a Dunlop MX32 for the photos. The press release did say that they will be running Pirelli's so they are not trying too hard to make people think they are Pirelli's. No info on the bike in the press info. They call it a 2024 and go over the history of the development of the past few generations of CRF450. Billet Ti pegs along with other pieces and lots of Ti bolts. Not really any info on the bike other than that. The more I look at the high quality photos the more it grows on me and I like it. It looks so clean and well put together. A real work of art.
THE TIRES ARE NOT DUNLOPS . I saw the word Scorpion under the painted letters and thought it was a Dunlop logo. Thanks to the other posters who corrected me. I wanted to just edit this and leave my mistake so the replies correcting me make sense but also make sure that the info in this post was correct.
Haha love it! Good one Silas444!
those are pirelli's. they painted pirelli over scorpion. you can even see the logo printed in the tire.
X2. It looks so different, kind of simple and weird, but cool nonetheless. I wonder what the weight is, and if it feels slimmer? Honda is not usually that concerned about weight though. Shrouds certainly have a retro (CR500) vibe.
I had three CRs from 85-89. None had tiny shrouds and number plates.
I’m not concerned in the slightest. I will be if you can show me a mid-‘80’s CR with ridiculously small shrouds and number plates.
To me, they look completely identical, in fact, I thought it was a picture of a couple of ‘85 CR500s until someone told me it wasn’t.
Does it look like they totally moved the air filter?
I think the new bike looks good, but I wish it had just a little more rear side plate coverage. I would also like to see a closeup of how the bat-winged rear side plates join with the rear fender.
I hope they did not change the color of the bike. I'm guessing the white balance is off in the photos which make it look like a darker GasGas red, which would be a very bad move. Hopefully it's the same red as last years bike.
Regardless of how good the new bike looks, this old 94 bike is one of the most beautiful looking bikes ever made.
Those aren't Dunlops. Pirelli had MX32 before Dunlop and Dunlop had to change their tire's name to MX3S.
I don't like the exposed radiators below the shroud.
It would be my pleasure. Take a look at the 1983 CR125. The shrouds are about the size of a postage stamp. But it's not merely the small size of the shrouds, it's the simplicity of their design. In this, they have an unmistakably 80s retro feel to anyone not trying to argue for the sake of arguing, which, like turning a blind eye to the obvious, is something of a Vital tradition.
As far as the shrinking side panels go, I will agree, this is a current trend. It's based on the fact that side number plates are no longer necessary due to transponders being used at even the smallest of venues. Sad but true, the only remaining purpose side panels have is to collect mud and add weight, which is to say - they've outlasted their purpose.
Thus, like compression releases, fork braces, and twin shock suspensions, they should go.
