I've run their oversize rotors a couple times. They work great. Lots of my friends have them too.

I think they are god awfully ugly and look cheap, I would go with Braking or Galfer any day of the week.

I run them on both my bikes, (yz125 and yz250f) and I like them. I like the feel of the solid rotor more than the floating ones so thats why I went with tusk. I have no complaints. They do seem to squeak more though which isn't a big deal. Can't beat the price

I've used them with no issues on both my KTM and now a Honda.

I've used a bunch of them over the years, no complaints here.

If you want cheap eBay is your place. Front and rear for the same price or less as 1 Tusk. They do come from China so if that goes against your grain know that. Unfortunately I’m sure Tusk does too.

I had them on my 03 rm 125 and they worked fine. Great bang for the buck. I’ll get a set of them for my back up wheels for the YZ

Work great, and I’m a front brake punisher. I’d buy again.

SUPER heavy in my experience. That's what caught my attention when I tried a rear rotor. Seemed to perform fine, but I'm not a huge rear brake user, so limited performance feedback. Ended up selling to get a lighter OEM unit.

Used them for years as well as other brands and they are just ask good as all the others.   To be honest most all the Tusk products have been good.

I bought a tusk front rotor for my yz250 after I bent the oem rotor and Yamaha wanted like $170 for a new one. Well that $50 i spent on the tusk was a waste. The braking was noticeably worse. Ended up biting the bullet and ponying up for the OEM. Much better. Sometimes you get what you pay for. I have a barely used tusk front rotor for a '00 yz250 I'd sell cheap if anyone is looking.

Rotors arw cheap? The brand name ones are 120+. The tusk is much cheaper. Based on the reviews above i ordered one to try. I have a kx450 and im not liking the 250mm set up so i ordered one, plus the bracket, for a kx250 to run the 240mm. If i like the feel but the rotor sucks maybe ill upgrade.

I did just recently see a post on other media from a rider who installed a Tusk front rotor which resulted in his rotor bolts rubbing against the caliper bracket.  Seems the Tusk rotor was likely a hair thicker than the OEM rotor.   I believe this was on a Honda.

That dude was using the wrong bolts that weren't countersunk if im certain.

Hondas don't use countersunk rotor bolts.  They use shoulder bolts with a hex head like this.  Dude might have had something else going on like worn bearings or wheel spacers.  Or maybe an aftermarket caliper bracket that was thicker than stock also.  I don't know.  Did not see the bike in person.  But going off the pics he was using the correct bolts.  Just something to keep an eye out for anytime your swapping out rotors, or really any rotating parts on the wheels.

Most of us are far less sensitive to the braking feel on the rear of the bike, but jumping on a recent Kawasaki I really notice that the rear brake is super easy to lock up.

You'll probably get used to it and love the upgrade to the smaller rotor.  If the Tusk feel sucks, you can probably bolt on a 240mm rear OEM rotor for the previous generation (2018 ish) KX450F or KX250F with the Tusk bracket.

Since we're talking about it...
I have a 270mm floating Tusk front rotor in my gear bag as a spare.  It fits my YZ125, YZ250 and KX500.
All those bikes have non-floating Galfer SKW on them and I have the same Galfer kit for my GasGas.

My experience is that I can feel a difference on hard pack with the tusk rotor.   Under hard braking it wants to intermittently bite then slip with little change in lever pressure.   The Galfer rotor has a much better controlled feel as you feed in more pressure.  I believe it has something to with the material and heat treatment, not the shape of the rotor.

I did buy a new kawi oem bracket as i dont think anyone sells an aftermarket for the rear.  Just using the $40 rear rotor as opposed to the 100 something of new oem or big name aftermarket.

FWIW my Tusk brake lines literally say Galfer on them. I’d be willing to bet you’re getting a reputable name brand product in Tusk packaging.

Welp, itll be tomorrow hopefully. Got my order today but it was a 250mm.. the 2023 kx250 does use the 240, right? Lol. They may have seen all my other parts were for a 450 and adjusted themselves? No issues going through the return process with RM.

I think the confusion is the rotor will fit both bikes. I just ordered a Braking rotor from a KX250 and hope it's 240.

I've had a lot of customers from all different skill levels all have great luck with Tusk parts. The wheels ,rotors mostly.  I have notice Galfer on a tusk product too.

I noticed that JT sprockets had some good pricing on rotors the other day too. Similar pricing to Tusk, but might be available at more local dealers.  Or maybe not. But they are another inexpensive option to check out.

I would buy a brand name even if its made in china over a no name made in china that looks the same  because there is a company standing behind the product that has a history.  And there is the chance that the No  name item was made with lower quality materials or to lower  specs than the item that looks the same.  Getting a hold of RM if you have an issue is VERY easy and they will handle things quickly. That is worth paying for.  I consider  Tusk a brand name item even with it being a RMATV house brand. The same concept applies.
