Good
450 class: Well. Let’s start with race #2. That fight from 4th to 14th(!) was amazing. The amount of elite talent and speed right near each other was something I haven’t seen in a long time. Tomac and Sexton battle for 12th? That was crazy.
I also really loved seeing Prado defending himself so well. And who doesn’t love Tomac going for race #3 win?
250 class: Kitchen showed us how consistent he is. Imo title battle is between him, Hampshire & Smith. But a lot of racing to go!
Bad
450 class: Deano not making the main. Damn dude, you were in a roll at AUS SX. But we all know he is capable of top 10’s.
250 class: Smith and Hampshire should stay off the ground if they don’t want Kitchen to run away with this title. Shimoda rode well, but he needs starts
Ugly
450 class: I’m a big big AC fan, but him being hurt again will hurt his progression big time. Also Craig and Stewart (who rode really well) need to get the first lap drama away. Every weekend something happens to them
250 class; Not sure what happened to Beaumer. Haven’t seem a lot of him during the races to be honest. But I expected more after A1. I also hope to see Hawkins is ok after his crash
Worth mentioning, I think I saw a glimpse of Justin Cooper finally finding his nuts in the 450 class. He has seen timid either in the class, or on his bike for the races he has been in to date, but last night, he looked to have maybe found something he needed. You know he rocked on the 250 and seeing his performance at the MXoN at Redbud in person, he can absolutely step it up. He and Nichols have both seemed to be struggling to find the next level on the 450, I think Cooper finally found it.
The depth of the field was finally really able to shine through last night after all those mudders. This is what weve been missing out on! Its wild how much it changes from one race to the next. Were getting different winners in each race, so happy to see tomac get that last win there too. The points swings from one race to the next can be huge because one guy can be winning one race then battling for 12th the next. Plus jett isnt running away with it either like most ppl predicted, instead the racing is as good as it gets!
Good: Jason Anderson: I’m tempted to put this in bad because he got docked, but his speed was unreal last night and he likely would have won the overall if not for his crash. Webb: Basically proved he’s legit in ALL conditions. Triple crowns, mudders, normal races, etc… and is consistently a winner. Eli: Proved he has the speed to get a win. He stomped everyone in moto 3. Levi: Has been the most consistent in the 250 class and absolutely established himself as a title contender and maybe the favorite going into the break. AP: Leaves the west coast with the red plate.
Bad: RJ and Jordon: Old habits die hard. Craig and Malcolm: This is getting ridiculous. Both are much better than what they’ve shown. Chase: Could have left A2 with the red plate but crashes kept him from the front of the pack minus his moto 1 win.
Ugly: Jett: he looked frantic and impatient last night which led to crashes and mistakes. I think the negative attention he’s been getting has impacted him a ton. Jo: There’s something seriously wrong and he needs to figure it out ASAP, even with him being out of championship contention. Press Conference: the Gypsy man asking the 250 riders questions about Haiden Deegan, a rider who is not even racing the same coast as them. Please keep this guy away from the press conference.
The good
Parity in the 250 and 450 classes so far.
That Futures race!
Jett being booed entering the stadium. Which just proves that over-exposure and entitlement isn't sitting well with the motofans.
Webb winning one early/on the west coast all while sick.

The weekly Jett-a-Cam.... Jett walking to the gate as a race is going on. ...and finally Jett riding off into the tunnel with his mechanic dejected after the 3rd main instead of focusing the camera on the winners. When will this stupid shit end.

Easily the best 1v1 battle of the night! Both guys rode great but Davies doing that at 16 years old was incredibly impressive

Dean should never be less than Top 18 in speed. I think the higher speeds had him spooked after a few slower rounds.
Team Husky was slightly better but not much. Fix this was an ugly 4 race swing for them.
Deano rode into Benny Bloss and came off second best.
