Last year he came out swinging with newfound holeshot skills and a mountain of confidence after kicking everybody's ass indoors and out in 2022. Previous to that he has had lackluster starts to his SX season consistently. I bet he at least podiums tonight
He's my last 450 pick. Pulling for him to keep it on 2 wheels and ride around usual carnage up front!
His night is already made! Nice thing is he has three gate drops to get a good result and some bragging rights over all the other guys his speed

At first 10 years in the 250 sounds pretty lame but if you think about how little press they get or money compared to the commitment and risk i start thinking a little bit different. And if you add in all their amateur success and effort like RJ was the Horizon Award winner as the top prospect but kept getting bad luck and injuries I feel even worse for him.
Same goes for Jordan Smith where he went all in with his career but all it takes is a few bad luck crashes or mistakes and your career may be done. I think it is cool they didn’t give up and RJ is supposedly looking good or even better on a 450 where he is set up for a future career with Rockstar where I am sick of only seeing Monster Energy everywhere.
Since AC9 pulled out of the race does that bump Short to the night show? Wasn’t that a thing before so they had a full gate?
He was outside the top 18 and would've had to race the lcq as well.
Lots of racing left and certain tracks favor Eli, he is looking plenty fast and aggressive so he is easily a championship contender still. If he started slow in the past and killed it he’s not in panic mode now. Beast mode 😃
No coz ac qualified 24 and was dns in the lcq.
If he qualified top 18 I think they would have put another rider in but that's not the case 2night.
