Anderson holds his line and Jett tries to push the issue and almost goes down, jumping almost completely sideways. Then Jett dives inside before the double Roczen crashed on, jumps out of the rut and clips Anderson. Which obviously irritated Anderson because he definitely moves over to block Jett from going around. Then gives him a decent brake check in the next corner. My humble opinion is that contact when Jett went inside is what instigated the rest of the gamesmanship by Anderson.
After a couple more laps, looks like Anderson had enough and said ok kid, go on by...and Jett takes him high. All fair, I think. Also I doubt Anderson would have said anything after that, yeah he's been one to play dirty, but I don't remember him ever complaining about it coming back to him on the track.
In MY opinion he probably wouldn't even have had an issue with Jett throwing his arm up after he passed him.
What happened on the track is racing, period. What happened after sure makes Jett look like an entitled punk, and even worse, an entitled punk that Honda and his camp are enabling and protecting. Not a good look, especially when you have the majority of the industry, even self-admitted Jett superfans like JT, more or less taking Andersons side.
I hope the kid can learn and recover from this, but it's going to take some genuine humility and self-awareness...and we haven't really seen that from him yet. Time will tell.

I also pondered this same question over the week thus far. This season has delivered in spades already with the points mix ups and mud rounds. It has shaken a lot of the riders up and makes it better for all of us. I don't think it will start a trend per say but I believe that when push comes to shove other riders are going to start shoving in critical moments more IMO.

I agree. The sport needed this. Sucks that Jett was the punchline but he’s young and fast.. this will go away. I personally felt the sport was becoming too much of a political bro show. Yeah bro we are ALL cool off the track. We don’t want to race anyone dirty. How boring is that? There’s a new excitement added to this season that has nothing to do with points. Stuff like this happens every single year but since we are getting the Hunter Brothers shoved down our throats every week everyone is making a big deal about it. I think everyone is just a little jaded from all the of Jett hype. This stuff happens EVERY YEAR going back decades. We're talking about a couple guys grabbing helmets. There's been literal punches thrown many times. This is literally nothing new. Chase said it best on the pulp show. You're highs cant be too high and your lows cant be too low. You have to keep it level. Jett has rode his highs very high and his lows he as absolutely emotionally lost it. Chase said he needs to be more level about things like Tomac. It makes since.
