MC(7)2
Its reminiscent of when he bumped James off the track.
Never disrespect The King .
Isn’t there an old saying about “don’t poke the bear”?
One wonders how many things have to go right to win that many races. That’s a whole lot of tracks and races. Same for any other sort of racing. Nothing is impossible but probability creeps in.
Collection of reactions from the Jett fan-bois....
....and one more for good measure.
Dizzy, Doozy, Ditzy (what's the dads name) formulating a response.
Pretty sure MC was only riding 6-7 faces in 06 as his farewell tour. Next time James is on one of the televised podcasts, the show host should play this clip and ask him what he was thinking?
The cockiest thing I can remember MC doing was riding with an "RJ Who" patch on his pants the day he surpassed RJ's record. MC was very humble for how badass he could ride SX
He is just soaking up the few years he has left as the King.
All records get broken at some stage.
I hope McGrath is entertained by the whole "Jett is gonna break his record" talk.
It's a helluva achievement that should feel real comfy for a long time.
Jett is great and will win a lot, but he’s not going to pass 72.
I'm not sure if he will get to 72 or not, but if he does this post will be fun to bring back in the future.
I'm not saying Jett is going to break it, but anything is possible and if someone's going to do it, it could be Jett. Jett is an amazing rider, he's off to a great start with his career, and I think he'll be winning for a long time. 450SX is the current question mark for him though as it throws more curve balls.
One thing is for sure, if he does break MC's record someday this post will surely surface on the Vital front page the minute he does.
Pit Row
I remember back in the day when everybody was saying Tiger Woods would surpass Jack Nicklaus record for most majors won.
In an interview with Jack at the time he mentioned that as you get older, life happens. You get married and have kids and that takes away some of your focus. Or in Tigers case, your wife finds out you have girlfriends and she hits you with a 7 iron and you drive your suv into a tree.
Mens major golf championships:
Jack Nicklaus-18
Tiger Woods-15
This is how I feel as well.
And it's going to be a massive drag if we're all at each others throats about it week after week for how ever long Jett's career ends up lasting.
I bet Jeremy would be the first to congratulate Jett if he ever beats the record.
i hate the NBA but I thought Kareem's response was awesome when Lebron broke the record. He said something to the effect of "I think it's great. I elevated the sport and gave Lebron a goal he has now achieved for the next person to set as a goal. I'm going back to my advocacy, family, and wish everyone well."
Thought it was classy as hell. And before anyone pulls the video, I am roughly summarizing his comments. Not trying to quote him.
Exactly what I was thinking.
hilarious troll by the king, btw.
And if he doesnt it should be brought back up also.
Honestly, McGrath fired the best shot he could have. It's perfect, he should just go quiet on it and not get into any back and forth. (not saying he will)
I'm reminded of the scene in Colors when it comes to wisdom and youthful exuberance...
No one ever mentions age or win percentage in these threads. MC was winning until 28 or 29, which was considered old at the time, but now most top guys are going into their 30s.
Why debate it when you can just look it up and find out now ?
It worked for Biff in "Back to the Future"....
(although his only went to 2000 so you might need the revised edition!)
Let alone in the same time frame.. '93 A1 - '01 A2 = 72 wins in essentially 8 years and beginning of 9th season.
Why? Jett never said he'll beat it.
how was MC in the mud? can't remember, serious question
Post a reply to: McGrath's Latest Post 🤣
