We rode are aircooled 250/open class mx bikes every year in January/ February when the trails were hardpacked from snowmobiles. What a blast! Just shredding the trails, railing the corners! The aircooled bikes ran great, my YZ490 never pinged once! 125cc you had to peg to the throttle stop, My YZ80 worked great as long as you did not slow...

For all who have never tried it, I suggest you do ! So much fun, and it will definitely sharpen your skills on loose or slippery surfaces. Also great because getting roosted does not hurt, other than the occasional piece of ice .

My nice used silencer I saved from my own bike. Canadian model - this silencer really sounds great, mid to top end it really ripped great! I threw on one of those junk shorty silencers when i sold the bike. Anyway never found a nice one again to put it on. Bargain Plus a hrc pipe badge $80.00 plus 20.00...

The early models are 72cc heads. the bolt pattern up to 1977 does not interchange with the 78-1980.

There are so many variables here. Tools, tools, tools, tools! Money, money, money, money! Drive to finish the project! I see dozens of bikes every week that someone thought they could fix,restore and the project goes to shit! bike gets tossed aside , sold on craigslist save your money, buy a nice bike to put graphics on!!!

pm me for prices I will deliver the bikes to the Federal motorcycle transport terminal in Rosevile mn to aid in shipping, and make sure they get loaded correctly, and go thru the shipping inspection Dropping the bikes off there will reduce the shipping quote you get by quite a bit.
