This is probably a can of worms, but I’m hoping to get some direction from you guys as moto bros.

Is anybody happy with the “News” they are getting?

Network news is sort of like local sports radio. You can always find a station composed of fanboys for whoever your “team” is, but that’s not reality. It makes you feel good to listen to talking heads saying what you believe, but is that really the best way to live?

I don’t want an editorial analysis or spin. In short, I just want someone to tell me what happened, not what to think about it, especially over the next 11 months here in the US.

The best thing I’ve found is the BBC as they are potentially independent onlookers into the US.

Probably a pipe dream…thanks for listening.

Bro I hear ya.

Used to be Media called balls and strikes and then had an opinion piece at the end of the program.

Now the decision on what news to cover and how to cover it reeks of bias and narrative.

I'm hoping Democrats , Republicans and independents can appreciate the need for unbiased and neutral news.

Legacy media is so biased and toxic I can't play their game.

Not sure exactly what you are looking for but when I get wind of a situation I will google it and see what news organizations show up. If you are looking for "just the facts mam" then stay away from cable news entirely. Some of what's called "main stream media" does have news only content but stay away from big name reporters. If you find the story on BBC, check it against what you see from AP or any one of the network news outlets like ABC, NBC and so on. They still have actual news reporting and can be a source for who, what, when, where, why ,how. I don't know about twitter or facebook. Another way is to go local. By that I mean if the story is coming out of Georgia, check the Atlanta Journal-Constitution or another of the local papers or news stations in the area. They might have the most extensive coverage.

That's what I do but it's not very often because there is very little actual news that interests me. If you want to know about Hunter Biden's laptop  you can auger yourself into any number of web sites and wormholes. Maybe I'll see you in a year or so when you emerge, way dumber than when you started.

borg.......has a cynical but interesting view of this.......

Many have myopic views on things and it distorts their ability to see things clearly.

I read my news.

TV and YouTube are the worst mediums for consuming “news” as they literally exist for ad revenue.

Not that traditional print media doesn’t have advertising but it’s nowhere near the same thing.

Vital - Non Moto... (News24 - South African), BBC, CNN, FOX, CBS, The Guardian and Reuters. Between the lot I can deduct half the truth.

You guys know of any reliable and honest News site?

Here and all their spin off sites. There's definitely editorial mixed in but it's decent place to start.

For Ukraine I use pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian telegram channels as well as the pro-Ukrainian but pretty realist podcast 'battleground Ukraine'.

I also use bbc, channel 4, and a variety of Instagram and telegram news channels.

Definitely not through anything televised.

Although the msm morning shows are hilarious to pop in on from time to time.

The eunuchs and the bimbo on fox, and

the morning TDS couple on msnbc.

Both are good for a face palm as you realize how many Americans tune in to their bilge.

And buy into it.

I do like to listen to podcasts. Primary one would be Dan Bongino.

Some of the other sites already mentioned but I'd add zerohedge.com

It doesn't even have to be printed per se, written word carries more weight than spoken word. If you go on the fox News website you get much more in depth and fair reporting than you will see on their TV network. I don't watch any news at all, be it on TV or YouTube, etc, aside from documentaries.

Twitter used to be a great for compiling different news organizations, professional journalists, citizen journalists, and primary sources but since Elon took over the professionals have been less active, bot networks have proliferated and the signal to noise has ratio has decreased. I'm not talking about free speech/right wing stuff, there's just more porn-bots, crypto-scammers, and engagement bait than real content now.

New Year’s resolution of daily watching the local news and reading local newspaper isn’t going so well. I’m either not home or outside when the local news airs on tv.  Reading the local rag is going just a little better.

I usually hear it somewhere. Or I’ll see it on YouTube. The Networks are all garbage

We ripped the living shit out of that handcut, natural terrain DH singletrack.

Far better than the machine cut bike park stuff up there now.

The BBC is a shower of shit, and has been for a long while now, its a woke crapshoot.

But its still better than anything in the US.

These days, you arent getting anything from the MSM, you need to be searching stuff out on Rumble, or X

You’re right that BBC provides some pretty good programs that aren’t news, like BBC Earth, and some of their animal documentaries, which are very well done.
I don’t recall CNN msnbc Fox doing many baby seal reports.
