Jett was seeing Prados sister for a little early last year when she was last in USA. But i believe it was more a short term fling haha
It all stems from Jetts second pro season where he came off winning the final national the previous year and showing a LOT of potential. He won some races in SX his second year but inconsistency stopped him winning that title, but he was getting some hype. But, lots of people didn’t think the hype was warranted so bagged him a lot saying “he’s got all this hype but he hasn’t won shit” He has won every single championship he has entered since then making it 5 in a row ( 6 if you count Smx) but yet people still throw doubt his way as if he has lucked into it or something. Even downplaying his 22-0. I understand not liking certain characters for whatever reason you have but we should all show respect for results where it’s deserved, and he definitely deserves that. As a dad I’d get frustrated too with people intentionally downplaying your kid’s achievements just because they don’t vibe with his vibe or accent !!!
I was taught it's not wise to shit where you eat. Even a dog knows better than to do that. Apparently papa Lawrence never learned that.
And I have respect for both what both Jett and Hunter have achieved. They're both far more talented on a bike than I'll ever be or ever was. My comments have nothing to do with either of the brothers...just the dad and the way he came across in that interview.
I made an off the cuff, tongue in cheek jest in a Deegan thread and got nuked for it so I backed off, took my bat and ball and went home.
Some of the comments about Dazzy in this thread go way beyond what I said...talk about taking one sentence from someone in a pretty emotional and heightened state and running away with that comment. "Shit where you eat"?
His eldest son was out and possibly concussed and his youngest son won on debut. I can forgive Dazzy for saying mf'ers to the haters the family no doubt get...as evident in this thread.

The Lawrence PR team should reign the dad in. I had nothing but respect for that family, but some of his comments early in that interview weren't so classy. Jett's riding is so great that you don't need to talk it up or talk others down.
Ha, “…weren’t so classy”?! FFS he’s a working class Aussie, using cutlery is classy to us 😂
Loosen up dude, everyone wants good honest interviews with an insight to what people are really thinking and doing, and we just got that.
You don’t have to like what is said, but in no way should we be trying to shut down these sorts of responses. Bring them on!
Wow I think its awesome Dazzy telling it how it is. There should be more of it instead of all this PC crap. Jett is just having fun kicking arse and jokes around like most 20yr olds. The kick start thing was just a kid having a laugh. Their manager is organising all the PR crap. Everyone needs to loosen up a bit and enjoy the kids riding style. He obviously has something special!
😂😂
Should be mandatory to watch The Castle before responding to any interview or statement from an Australian rider or crew member.
You know why Jett (and Hunter and Dazzy) is such a breath of fresh air? While they are obviously committed and dedicated to winning, they haven’t lost sight of the fact that all this is just being paid to participate in a recreational pastime.
There are people on here who would do well to remember that.
She was posting a few pictures of him, didn't see it from his side though
Hit the nail on the head, Australians often greet each other with way worse language than this 🤣
We call our mates c*** and our enemies mate. Don’t take it to heart people!
Sexton crashed himself out of a win several times,Jett has not.Now ask yourself how could that be? The logical answer is "superior bike set up" Facts dont lie.
It’s probably a cultural thing. He’s just a very typical Aussie bloke who’s holding his tongue and not swearing too much because he’s on camera. Those aren’t really swear words in Aussie culture. And Aussies would say he “calls a spade a spade”
What’d he say about it last night after Jett was 5 seconds off the pace and Hunter 9 seconds off the pace
Yeah, let's make fun of the Lawrence brothers for their "piss poor" performance all while ignoring the fact that they both finished ahead of 2x champ Cooper Webb and 1x champ Jason Anderson.
Neither one of those guys was talking about MC’s record 7 days ago and neither were their dads lol
Anyway, don’t get sensitive. Hunter made his first main in his 2nd try, Jett lapped in his 2nd try and we are just having a little bit of fun with it..
Plus nobody said piss poor… but you. So I think YOU think it was piss poor
The whole MC record thing is being blown way out of proportion. No one ever said he was going to beat the record.
All that was said is that it's a goal. Nothing wrong, cocky, or arrogant about setting goals.
Two very different thing.
A mud race like that proves nothing and means nothing. Are you clutching at straws perhaps or do you know nothing about the sport? Which is it?
Pit Row
It’s a lighthearted joke. You’ll survive
has any rookie ever talked about topping McGrath's 72 wins before? Rotsa Ruck
Social media has its upside and down. Learning how to play the game is sometimes very important.
So the mud mxon s.dont count? Or anstie win in sx in the mud? Which is it. Cant have it both ways.
Well, hopefully we have another couple of mud races.
I remember Doug Henry and McGrath having fun at a mudder in Dallas ‘95. By the end if it, they were jumping the triples and Henry got first with McGrath 2nd. But they adapted and had a good time with it. It looked like they were having fun, playing around in the mud.
Of course, the bikes were a little simpler, lighter, and more reliable.
Total double standard. Dazzy is the one calling people mfers. Maybe he needs to loosen up.
The dad called their critics "mfers" and said the prior guy/team in their spot didn't know what they were doing. To me it's a bad look for the dad and show's a lack of respect for the competition. I wasn't expecting that coming from him and I like the honest interviews nor do I see a problem with Jett going after 72 wins. I could see him doing it. No need to insult your competition or call people mfers though.
this thread started on 1/6/24 begs to differ that “no one ever said he was going to beat the record”
Totally agree with this. How can Dazzy say that the prior guys/team in their spot didn’t know what they were doing when they literally won the previous 450SX title and got 2nd in MX before that. Pathetic take by Dazzy…
Are you comparing the raceable 22 MXON track conditions and 23 NJ SX track conditions to the race conditions last night? Both those races still had the track features still intact requiring bike skill and a bit of luck to make it through. Last nights flattened out slop is not comparable and if you didn't get a start you were screwed. Even Sexton admitted this race didn't mean much except he was glad he got the start and survived. Hence why I started my post with "A mud race LIKE THAT......."
All.were muddy and all had the same chances
The exact nuanced analysis I was expecting in response. You're right I'm an idiot! Please forgive my post.
Are you on the Lawrence fam's payroll or something? I see you throwing stones at completely unrelated people/riders every time somebody has an ounce of negativity towards them
Post a reply to: I think Dazzy said it best about last night....
