Kinda disappointed in the Beta Team. I didn’t figure Benny Bloss would qualify top ten, was thinking middle of the pack. Didn’t figure near bottom. I didn’t have a clue where John Short would land, he was a little faster than Benny as I recall.
I’m of the opinion Colt Nicholds new bike or not would BP have qualified much better.
I know it’s new bike, new Team but figured they would make a better showing. I’d guess there won’t be a Beta in the main.

Them making mains should be considered a success for the first half of the season.

There was no mention of Beta at all. A brand new manufacturer to the series and ZERO mentions. I didn't see any Beta Logos around the track either. They didn't even have the Beta logo for the results...
What a shit show for the broadcast team. Shocking.
I agree not a great start, but you’re kidding yourself if you think Nichols wouldn’t have qualified much better. Without him they’ll struggle to get the bike in the main, though.
At this stage I’m sure Beta are happy to fly under the radar, but it truly is shit of the broadcast team to not give some coverage to a new manufacturer investing in the sport. Hopefully they do in the night show.

I'm thinking about suiting up and riding to the stadium right now. I can be there before the gate drops. With these mellow whoops tonight I'm thinking it's possible to be the first ever to put a plated bike a main. I have the race map, so the holeshot is not out of the question.

And yet there are so many factory riders who do have the speed today to be in the main, why would they spend time talking about a new team that is nearly as much of an underdog here as Rick Melon and his homebuilt bike.

Brand new bike, second tier riders…no history of setup to use as a baseline. What do you expect?

Bike is only as good as the riders.
Benny was right around where I thought he would be in this field to be honest. Short didn’t make the night show which is bummer for everyone involved and in sure they’ll be super disappointed at that but at best he’s a guy who can just about sneak into a main and he’s on a bike he has very little time on and is very different so I can’t be too critical
Mine was awesome at LACR today.
I’m of the opinion Liqui Molly is footing a fair amount of the bill

They interviewed the Beta Team Manager about midway through the qualifying, Beta Hauler in the background. Bike in the pic had a tall seat so it was probably Benny Bloss’s ride, he’s really tall. I can’t recall who the Team manager is, former racer but not real big time.
Was that on the RDL broadcast, if so, I must have missed it.
Kind of bummed but not suprised that John Short didn't qualify. He had what, a week or so on the bike. Really bummed about Colt.

What happened to benny, he was right around the transfer spot and then on the last lap as the camera was following sexton you could see benny riding along the outer perimeter of the track with his mechanic on the back and scoring had him in 3rd to last. Did he crash or have a mechanical?

I guessed he went down but that was just a guess. I wanted see Beta do well.
Be interesting to see how good or bad the Beta bike is in its first year.

It's A1, lot's of stuff happens! I think the bike is fine and Benny is usually steady, he'll get there.
Sure the bike has its issues from what I’ve heard. Examples bike shutting off and frames breaking. But also the riders have to do there part. Benny is not that great of a sx rider and tends to quit when the going gets tough. Just ask how his training was when he was with Rattray. But hey daddy will pay for rides so it’s all good.
