I don't get the negativity.
The tight performance fit and probably hefty price of this kit is obviously not intended to fat/beerbelly riders that ride 3 laps and then are completely exhausted.
Alpinestars and Dainese have 3-4k race suits that are solely aimed at racing at the top level, why can't someone in the MX industry do something similar that is only made with pure performance in mind?
What performance benefit will a suit like this provide for motocross ?
Haha no I don't, at least I try not to, but I feel like you probably have to when you wear a tight skin suit like the one he's trying out.
I'm sure there's room in there for some boxers dude... Unless you're worried about the ol 'VPL' in which case I don't know what to tell you 😂

I guess I'm too old because skin tight riding gear and forcing motocross to same mold with other professional sports makes me feel alienated from sport I originally grew up to love.
Motocross does not anymore have that rebellious rock star attitude and it is fastly becoming just one professional sport among the others with skin tight uniforms and robotic athletes listing their sponsors in their podium speeches...
I like the built in roost guard
More comfortable and breathable.
It’s been that way for nearly 30 years. Let go.
Cant say I can back that for moto, I do appreciate the innovation tho.
Whether people like it or not doesn't matter. Fox has already won.
Jett is wearing a special edition set of Alpinestars gear and no one is talking about it. They even released a video for it.
I was afraid of what I might see as I scrolled down to see this front view. That rear/side view felt like I was looking at somebody wearing body paint!
I'm guessing that they could add padding and protection into a lot of areas and still have it be easy to move around in and nonrestrictive. If they had pockets to slide pads into. Some of the energy absorbing materials.
Maybe they could make some replaceable panels for them too? zip on or Velcro. kinda like a tear off for gear. Only it takes the hit from a small crash and protects the main suit. For off road that might be something that would provide a benefit for woods guys. If they intend on selling them. Might just be for their sponsored guys. Like how TLD gear is not sold in the painted on fit that Barcia wears.
How long until there is a wardrobe malfunction and a nude rider out on the track? Milsaps had his pants fall down, Kenny had his jersey get totally torn off when he got caught up with Web a few years ago. It looks so thin that if Craig was to get stuck in the rear wheel like has happened to others. It might just totally remove the suit. It looks a little fragile to me . But hard to really tell from photos.
People acting like this looks drastically different than a one jersey combo is hilarious. It’s the same thing just streamlined. I think it’s pretty bad ass, I could see this becoming pretty popular the next few years.
anyone that skis and went from wearing pants to wearing bibs or a one piece knows how much more comfortable a get up like this is.
And nobody is talking about the 50th Limited Edition Anniversary gear that Fox released yesterday. That was a let down more than this gear.
Im still waiting for the 3rd RC Limited Edition Release.
And before baggy gear the leathers were pretty snug. If anything the tight fit is the OG style fitting gear.
I'm all for innovation and progression and it really doesn't look to bad. Also, If it werent for the pictures I doubt that I would not have noticed it while he was on the track riding.
More options on the shelf is a good thing.
I wonder if they'll release it. We're into a new year. Surely they can't have forgotten about it.
It was suppose to be a collection of three and they've only released the Vertigo and Strafer.
Pit Row
The robot thing is very far from the truth. In fact, SMX and everyone involved have said publicly that they don’t want riders just listing sponsors anymore. They want these guys to have personality and we have never had more top guys with different personalities than ever before.
Does that thing have a built in push-up bra?
That's because Astars dropped the ball on it. It's just red gear for $300 a set. Nothing special or anything stand -out about it.
No dirt down your pants.
I was bummed when it was the 180 gear line. I much prefer the 360 line for fit, venting and longevity. I like the Airline the most for ventilation but it doesn’t last as long.
Tell me you ride an e bike without telling me you ride a e bike.
So it still has a waist/belt buckle?
Yeah, I’m still not understanding the point of it. How would it be more comfortable? For anyone saying that, have you ever worn a onesie?
As somebody who has driving suits for karting, sports car and open wheel, they aren’t comfortable and they’re much more difficult to fit to your body off the shelf since you can’t fit the top and bottom separately like you can a pant and jersey. It’s really apples to oranges comparison like I said previously since the gear is built for different purposes in car racing vs road motorcycle racing vs off road. Regardless, the fitment isn’t going to provide anymore articulation than a separate pant/jersey. Unless it is custom made for you and you stay that same size, it could only be worse. I also don’t understand the one person who said a benefit would be more ventilation. How?
I raced Karts for a few years and I hated my driving suits. I'd always give myself a wedgie when sitting down...
I see it as nothing more than a novelty.
Anyone know why Craig DNF'd....I'm thinking suit related at this point but we'll never know for sure.
Was shimoda really wearing one of these last night as well? Don't recall ever noticing it.
Its fair to say the team expect both riders to be inside the top 10, I realllly don't want to hear, "yea we went the wrong way on setup" at any point. That's often the standard answer for I just wasn't riding well.
