This is a bummer. Like most, I have a love/hate relationship with Pulp Fantasy, but I always look forward to playing. I wonder if these regulations are also going to affect the RM Fantasy league and Vital's league (which I know little about).

Well, not happy they also clipped the private leagues too, but life will go on, and SMX will take a smaller portion of that. I wonder what drove this nation wide this season, if all 50 states regulate individually. Something at a national level had to change...........

This makes it seem like the obvious best short term solution is to keep the free play so the rest of us that just love the game can at least play even with out prizes... and continue to expand the states as they can. Seems like worst case is what happened here with the geo restrictions PLUS eliminating free play.

I'm sure that elimination has something to do with the regulations as well and the added work to track and prove they are following regulations with free play.

I’m so bummed, but we still have some other options….it’s time for regular sports books to add moto, I’d blow so much money betting on results, they would make a killing off of us!

Someone should charge a small fee and input teams for people that can't play. Send you my login info and message you my team before the race and you put it in for me.

So . . . a bookie?

Probably boatload of tribal gaming revenue that wants no competition, and this gets caught up in the resulting laws.  I think Fan Duel is legal for on line sports betting only in about 20 states, and the tribal nations have beaten them at least once in California one voter initiatives to open it up.

Because the owners of the Pulp league hate money and don't want to take wheelbarrows of it to the bank anymore.

So I live in Oklahoma so I should be good to go. My big question is if I go up to Missouri one weekend to race am I still going to be able to make my picks when I'm there or is it going to lock me out?

I have little faith that I'll be able to play, and I live (and have lived my entire life) in Texas. Unfortunately I live very close to the Louisiana and Arkansas corner and  the Wifi internet at my house comes from a Louisiana based tower. This SUCKS!

Some state law(s) may require geolocating to confirm whether a mobile play can be accepted.

I suppose we can't play in Idaho due to all the bullshit Indian Casinos not wanting any gambling competition....only war in history that the losers ended up with more rights than the winners.

Looks like the fun police finally found us. Reminds me of all of the bed & breakfast places around here. It got really popular and then the city put the taxes through the roof to operate a B&B and most of them shut down immediately. There's probably some major money flowing around in stick and ball fantasy and our wee world of moto fantasy is collateral damage.

Don’t blame pulp, I’m sure they aren’t thrilled about it either.

I am curious if this was a pro-active decision to avoid legal issues - or if a government agency (or bank?) actually reached out to them and threatened penalty.

I am also surprised that California is OK, because I don't think DraftKings or FanDuel can operate in California.

Oh yeah, the colonizers famously got the short end of the stick on that one!
