Pretty damn excited for a new season to start.
What does everyone do for A1? Where does everyone watch? Cook anything? When’s the party start?
Anyone have a recommendation on watching it at a sports bar? A buddy & I want to get together somewhere around Minneapolis to watch but unsure who would broadcast it? A bad example would be Buffalo Wild Wings.
Going to do everything I can to not ruin the broadcast.
I'm South African so with the time difference it is a ball ache watching live.
I go to bed early then wake up for the opening ceremonies. Have a subscription so I can watch the next morning....but the excitement does not allow me that privilege. I gotta watch as it happens.
Section 245 Angel stadium. Haven’t missed A1 since 2008. A1 is my Christmas every year.

I’m excited for the earlier start time on the east coast
Probably fall asleep around 9, watch it in the morning
I have the doubious honor of being expelled out of Angel Stadium.
My first A1 was 1998. Myself and Steve Van Zuylen (a Kiwi), we both worked on FMF race support found a sweet spot on the Rocks. We climbed over a fence to get there. A few laps into the 125 main security snatched us. We pleaded ignorance due to being South African and a Kiwi. They were having non of it and escorted us out the gates with a warning of arrest if we were to return.
A bit of bribery with FMF swag and with the help of a ladder and two security guards we made it back to catch the 250 main.
What’s he doing now these days?
I’ve missed one in about 25 years and that was two years ago because I thought I was dying of Covid.
See ya there!
He lives in Ohio and has his own shop.now.

Hoping someone posts a live feed on YouTube, because I'm not paying $244 for a pass.
Im sitting here with ticketmaster open with a couple seats picked out for me and my lady friend $650 (fees and insurance) and trying to decide if it's worth the 4.5 hour ride down there and back plus motel for a night. Not sure if its worth the $1k admission. We already going to round 2 in San Francisco.
Really thinking of just sitting here in my RV watching it and saving my money!
Tough decision as I'd like to go. We flew in from Phenix 2 years ago to attend round one so i understand the excitement of round one..
It's literally going to come down to a coin toss for me. Heads go, tails stay home!! TBD!
You are one of the better parts of the broadcast. I would like to see you get more time.
As one of my favorite Vitards always said:
I was thinking of going…😀😀
Really looking forward to the race like everyone else.
70”
cheap beer from my Fridge.
tri tip on the Traeger or Egg.
pisser 15 ft way no waiting and pause the action.
jT$ is a great part of the show.
hitting DT1 Sunday morning.
I usually hit up this biker bar in Dallas to watch Supercross, usually get a pretty good crowd watching, plenty of moto people too. The earlier start time might mean fewer people though.
The earlier start time means gatedrop is at 10am here, so I'll be doing bacon and eggs and black coffee.
So….no reasons good enough to have missed A1??

I'll be there! My first time at the opening round. Pretty damn excited!
Planning on going. Not sure if the wife is going to make it, may be flying solo.
Watching A1 from home, making the trek to SF and Seattle. So happy that the season is just about to start!! Merry Christmas Vital.
Geezuz, I thought Covid was over. Get well soon Shred.
Driving down from NorCal to watch it live like I do every year. So pumped for this one!!!
Surround sound turned up. Ass on the couch. The wife glued to her phone pretending to care about the race.
At the house.
Big screen TV, paused for about an hour in order to fast forward past the fluff, directly to the gate drops.
Roaring fireplace.
Warm laZboy.
Home cookin'.
Double shot of good bourbon.
Section 330 with my son. Track walk Saturday morning. Hotel within walking distance of the stadium. Gonna make a full day of it at our first A1. When I get home I'll buy tickets for the Glendale round and we will leave this wet, cold swamp behind for (hopefully) a few days of much needed sun. PNW winters truly suck.
I’m flying from Florida to watch it live.
whats the bars name?
We're all with you on that JT
A1 is the round worth that if you are willing to drop that coin. The buzz is phenomenal, and should be high this year with Eli coming back to confront Jett, and Sexton moving over, and a bunch of guys who believe in themselves, and fewer by the nights end. And there is no substitute for being in the stadium, especially when a dark horse pulls a win in the opener (as happens a fair bit at A1).
All of that dissipates a lot by round 2. There is no beating or reclaiming the expectations going unto A1. I'm in NorCal, too, and I'd go to A1 before SF or Oakland (and would hit that round too if I were still to be getting to races).
