He seems to sell lots of stuff on Craigs. Keep an eye out for his ads by googling his phone number. I found two or three cars and an ATV in the past two months.

I house the entire compiled US database of phone/address records. I have my girl doing a lookup on that number right now.

Pitbike had the bike up for sale, and it looks like the guy was trailing/stalking him and then stole it. He used pics from his original ad, in the ad we're talking about.

At least that's what I gleaned from this. I don't think someone with 1400 posts on here would be setting us up.....?

When yo find this guy, tell him I have a couple of bikes just sitting out in the open here at the Russell Compound. Tell him I asked him to please drop over and try to steal them. Tell him I said "pretty please."

Please.

Both numbers fail to appear in the national phone database. Most likely cell numbers.

Both numbers belong to Nextel Wireless and could potentially be cloned. Depends if they're amateur or not. But judging by the fact that they're using the same number multiple times not recycling the numbers, it does appear they're fucking retards.

The police CAN subpoena the records from Nextel, but good luck getting them to jump through the hoops. I've never seen a local agency subpoena anything from the Telco I work for. Only DOJ, FBI, etc.. and only for major Federal offenses.

IMO skip police involvement, wait until he posts the next item for sale and then gladly be the first to offer his asking price. That will get you a face to face meeting. The rest is up to you.

That's what I meant. He was set up from the sound of it. I like the idea of going to meet when selling on CL too. No one needs to know what I have at my place. But did he leave the bike alone were they inside Mc d's when it was stolen? The whole story would be nice so no one else gets screwed.

seems to me he is crossing state lines and is thus committing a federal offense. It also appears that the bike has not moved yet...unless he knows people are on to him. Which makes it surprising that replied to me again.

By the way, you better copy and paste that whole ad, so you have his info. If he sells it, it will be removed, never to be found.

I thought you were going to email me more info this morning? I didn't get anything. You were in the area of stamford. Like everyone else wants to know, where were you when it was taken? Something about this whole ordeal seems shady. Most people in that area could care less about a bike, thats probably the richest part of the country.

Thats what happened, We were at McD's, hanging out and eating, come out and the bike is gone..

I had the bike on ebay, sold it to someone from CT (or so i thought), and was cruising Craigslist and noticed my EXACT ebay ad on craigslist.

MattBMX - I did send you an email this morning, the wife and I were at the hospital, had a baby this morning (perfect timing of course..)

Congrats on the baby. Sounds to me like this dude is running a decent sized scam/ theft ring.

State to state, you might call in the Feds if you get enough info.

I'm still confused....Unsure

"I had the bike on ebay, sold it to someone from CT"

So you were delivering the bike when this happened?

Mickey D's is pretty wide open with windows, pretty ballsy move by this dude.

Keep us posted.

Scratch New Haven, the number is unpublished in Stamford. Right near where it was stolen from.

Seems odd that the bike was stolen and then used your original add. Are you sure that you weren't set up by who you were selling it to?? For someone to randomly steal your bike out of the back of your truck at Mc Donald’s (in a deferent state) and then use your ebay add to sell it??????? Something doesn't add up.....

Good luck, I hope you get it back or at least get to beat the living shit out of the little asshole

Exit 11 is actually Darien CT. The closest McD's is a couple miles away on RT 1 (Boston Post). But at around exit 12 there is a McD's rest stop that is actually on 95

Did you call the cops at the time?

I believe that's the current theory. The sale was a setup.

And, from the searches found here, it seems like the dude does this regularly. It's a scam. And it crosses state lines. Means you can get the FBI boys on it if you can prove it.

Exit 11 off of I95 in CT is the Darien exit, and about 45 minutes from New Haven. Were you at the highway rest stop?

This is what i proposed on page two....

I'm curious, how did the guy who you were supposedly selling the bike to react once you both realized it was missing?

Brandon sorry to hear dude

I cant say enough good things about this kid. Always has a smile on his face, loves moto, and is a great parts guy. Truly loves hooking people up. I was a complete stranger 2 years ago when I walked into the shop he works at. Treated me like I was a long time customer.

You don't deserve this shit dude, keep your head up!
