My old Crossfires finally died and Im in the market for some new Sidis. (and these Crossfires I have were old AF)
But upon looking on their website, looks like more stuff is available than when I got these I have now. (or maybe not, Im old and cant remember sh*t anymore)
Whats the difference between the Crossfire-3, X-Power and X-Power LEI ?
And who has the best prices?

I went from Crossfires to Atojos and I like the Atojos better. They're considerably lighter and have a dealy in the front that keeps your ankle from hyperextending in the direction that could adversely effect your achilles.
Get the atojos nothing else is remotely as safe in my experience. The other models are severely lacking lateral support. I have the screws and scars to back it up too.
Depends on what sidi CF you have. If you have the TA get the TA again. I went from my CF1 TA and 2 TA to the atojos and hate them. I don't like the toe box of the srs/atojo vs the CF TA or the lack of feel in the srs sole vs the CF TA.
The x power is the older CF 1 I believe just re badged. And the Lei is a women's boot.

Heres the deceased, I think they were TAs. I loved these boots but they are old as hell and all the plastic is brittle and cracking off.
Yeah those are TAs. The X-power is probably pretty close to what you have and it supposed to have really good lateral support. X-power is considered a lower tier boot but it probably has better protection than what you had. The Lei is the women's version. The Crossfire 3 is an older model that is an evolution from what you have in your picture. They have a little more hard plastic on the outside than the newer models like the Atojo and X-power and have a lot of replaceable parts. There are some closeout deals on both.
There is a new model of the Atojo called the Crossair that has an integrated vibram sole instead of the SRS.
I think I've beat you I have some Crossfire 2s SRS that are finally starting to crack and give out. I got a smoking deal on some 3s because the distributor was shutting down.
My favorite fuckin boot right there all white Crossfire 1 TA. Stay away from the SRS and atojo models the toe box is completely different. Woth your boot you can snag a quick shitf with the overhang on the toe and the toe box slides right under the shifter.
With the srs the toe box is very round and blunt l,took me forever to stop stubbing the shifter.
Wish they would make the CF TA in all white again.
Went from crossfire srs to atojo and definitely prefer the atojo although my first pair got ripped to shreds on the insides from my number plate/protector. That was the first gen atojo, now the seam overlaps so that won’t happen
I have some Crossfire 3s and just got a set of Atojos which I havent had a chance to ride in yet, I plan to keep both in rotation. Crossfire are heavier and seem a bit more protective form impacts sticks/rocks/etc. but great flexion. Atojo seem lighter and a bit more stiff atleast just holding the two of them.
I like the SRS soles but I also have sort of narrow feet, I will use the Crossfires for muddy and technical enduro rides and the Atojo for moto and harescrambles. I may end up removing the ankle flex piece on the Atojos though its VERY limiting.
Thanks guys for the info. 20+ years ago I was always using AlpineStars and never liked how stiff they were, and by the time they felt right, they were ragged and done. Was talking with Cobra/DV12 at the Houston SX years ago and he told me to get the Crossfires and you wont regret it. And he was right, best boot Ive ever put my foot in. That is IMHO ! I know there are a zillion opinions on what is "good" and what is "safe", all of that, but Im stickin' with Sidi. After you guys input here most likely will go with Crossfire 3s, just need to see if I can find a vendor I can afford and has the color/size I want. Heres my old 'Stars before the Sidis. At this point they were finally feeling 'right' to my feet, but pretty much done. The new Crossfires I got to replace these felt this good, right outta the box.
I think all the brands have changed quite a lot from those super old boots you had haha! Those astars look to be at least 20 years old, now tech 10's are good out of the box.
I have a set of Atojo that size that my feet didn’t jive with! I tried them for about four races and they’ve been sitting since.
I had to wear 4 pairs of riding socks, and ride a pedal bike for an hour to loosen mine up, once I did that they’ve been amazing since.
The boots feel incredible when I first put them on. For some reason, once I start riding, the strap thing that crosses over the boot starts putting pressure on the top of my foot. Did you experience that at first too?
That “right” feeling was probably because your foot and ankle had the mobility you’d achieve with Velcro strap new balance shoes lol
Switched from 10 years of Sidi to the new Fox boots. I loved my Sidi's, both Crossfire 2's and 3's. The new Fox boots are so much better IMO. Instant comfort out of the box and so much more feel on the pegs. If you're looking for comfort and support try the Fox Motion boots, retail isn't as high as the Crossfire 3's.

Yep I love my Crossfire SIDI boots I'm not even sure how old they are, they have to be older than 12 years but they do not feel super flexy or cracking considering the age.
I've re-soled them 2 or 3 times, not sure--I too have a bad case of CRS....🤬
Do you keep your boots in the garage all summer long during the hot months? I keep my gear inside for the 4-5 HOT months otherwise the HEAT destroys them.
One thing I do recall about the SIDI Crossfire is you need to have a narrow foot cause I had a buddy who bought some and could never get comfortable with them as they were too tight.
I’m a longtime t/a guy but I pulled the trigger on a new pair of X-power. Rode around in a small backyard track 1x and just didn’t feel as comfortable around my ankle ortho-hardware (less padding and not as stiff as crossfire t/a’s). Still in the box ( 9/43 in red) ($250 + shipping) and on the shelf gathering dust if anyone is interested.
No they were just super tight at the ankle, so tight they’d put my feet to sleep. Did the pedal bike and a bunch of socks, jumped around in them and they loosened up enough to get rid of all that pressure.
it might open up the same issue you’re having too. Worth a shot. Put a bunch of thick socks on and get those puppies to open up a touch.
I still have a pair from 1992, They lived forever since I was flat tracking in them. see if I can find the right one. Cushion tracks finally took its toll on the left 1 lol
I shattered both my ankles last year and ended up with tons of screws and a big rod in the one that’s now fused and doesn’t move. I was wearing sidi crossfires. Only boot I feel safe in now is a tech 10. The booty plus the boot add piece of mind and there 10x safer than a sidi in my experience.
I also did the ankle destructo thing in crossfires they’re junk. The atojos are really good.
the only boots I’ll wear now are tech 10s or the atojos. They both are incredibly supportive. The main reason I use atojos is over the tech 10s is the sole replacements on the atojos.
the atojos are night and day different support wise than the crossfires.
IMO: Tech-10s have superior ankle support but the toe/metatarsal area is relatively vulnerable as compared with top shelf SIDIs. Over the years I had my big toe reconstructed and three metatarsals pinned. Both injuries in Tech-10s. I switched over to SIDI.
I like Sidis but I’ve always felt the SRS sole is a bit numb feeling

Sidi had a one year warranty if they were bought through the US distributor. I would think that would qualify. Did they take care of you?
