I don't think I've ever seen Bubba start a race when he doesn't have a chance to get 1st. Awesome job man! He's having to work hard for that championship.

dungey can ride smart for the rest of the year and probly take this thing, I know its way early but stewart is almost a race down now, holy cow what season thus far.

The kid rode hurt and he was smart enough to keep it on two wheels and settle for third.

I think that RD is the real deal for sure, but how will he react when James is "back" and puts time on him? At some point James will be back to 100% and will have the bike working great (I think it was San Diego or A3 last year). Now the bigger question will be how many points ahead will RD be by that time?? Could be too much to overcome, who knows? James will at some point be back to his "hyper speed" ways. I can believe that one or two riders steeped up there pace (Hill, Short) but the whole field is closer to James this year so far (A1 is the exception with RD and JS putting 30 seconds on the pack). I really think the sport as a whole needs this though, only more to dramatize the ratings and bring back some sponosors.

Dungey is new to the 450, and will keep getting faster every week. Plus he has the confidence now. He is the man winning the main events, and he isnt going to lay down for James. How will James deal with Dungey if the "hyper speed" isnt enough? How far will James be behind by time he is 100%? I can honestly see James finding a bullshit reason to pull out of the series if he gets too far behind.

I figure Stewart will wad himself, pushing too hard too soon, in the mud next week in SF.
Surpisingly, Dungey is for real, and is actually gettting faster. Anyone that can run lap times close to Stewart, the whole 20 laps, is a threat.

His points lead is a weapon to use against JS7.

There is no way Bubba is going away. He must be pretty hurt and from last year you know he can come back but maybe Dungey is a differant animal than Reed. Could he be the rare lites guy who doesnt have a learning curve on the 450? Ala, I will say it,MC.

Stewart will heal and get faster, but he'll also crash again, probably big again as he tends to panic when guys match his speed or he gets a bad start.

Given his history and the fact that he's already hit the deck twice in 3 races this season, I'd say he's going to have to be more consistent than he's ever been to win it this year.

Could his "era" be limited to just 2 sx titles? It's possible.

I'm just glad there's some competition. Congrats to Dungey and I hope he keeps it up but the only way Stewart could possibly be counted out at this point would be to keep enough pressure on him to make him beat himself.
