Something other than e-bikes to argue about , although they do touch on their electric MXer this focuses on their 450 . Some pretty bold claims .
98kg maybe dry it will weigh closer to the Suzuki on the heavier side.
65hp they wish maybe at the crankshaft so probably 52 at the wheel maybe.
The rally bike looks amazing they make, and by all accounts is very very good.
Wild claims... Should have shown it on the scale and on the dyno. Want credibility? Provide some proof.
"Quite likely the best 450 ever made until now"...

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Hey, just a graphics kit away from being the NEW PENTON !
Good find. All they need is to homologate it and race it. Easy. It should be legal for MXGP right?
Pretty “telling” about KTM parts sharing.
Well so we know the out come of choosing up sides and picking a color. Baby shit would have been a better color choice. Kove = Ugly color. With that said, as Chinese as everything else we buy is might as well hope it’s a good scooter.
It would be legal but they would need an approved team or however that works . I think that's still how it works in the GPs .
It's amazing to see how grossly lying about everything is slowly becoming the dominant way of managing human interactions.
Interesting times for sure. I can't claim to be an expert on the Kove brand but I did some research on the rally which seemed positively received. From what I saw the company is a passion project of the owner who loves dirt bike racing and dreamed of making top quality bikes, can't fault them on that no matter where they are from.
I could never claim to be a fan of Chinese production, I definitely feel better that I open a part for my KTM that says made in Austria, and most of what I own is older or locally sourced by choice but the reality is I type this on a laptop likely constructed in China with my phone made in China, probably wearing clothes all made in China we can't really avoid it so much these days.
I will also say that even if that bike rides like a factory 450 and costs 4k I wouldn't want to be seen dead on it, it is not a good looking machine!
The way to impress is get that thing in the GPs and in America and win some titles, bold claims and spec sheets mean nothing without dynos, scales and results.
Haha, yep there’s definitely some “truth-stretching” in there
What's that 80's movie where the guy buys some lambo knockoff and it looks the part, but it's really just a big pos?
I think you will see a top Enduro guy running around on one in the near future. From everything I have heard, Kove is trying to make a big push to make it a legit brand.
But hey, if they can make a team and give out rides, then all the better.
Probably won’t happen
Mason Klein is riding one now and is racing the Rally Bike at Dakar.
***"We need cheaper bikes"...☆☆☆"fvck the Chinese"...●●●"is there really enough market for another brand?"

I like the GPX/Kove USA and Canada dudes, but why the bullshit horsepower and weight claims? There is NO WAY those are real numbers. It makes people scoff at the brand instantly when they share that BS.
It needs better graphics. Front fender is meh. At least it doesn’t stick wayyy out there. But aqua colored rims? I guess if something breaks you can replace it with a kTM or BMW part
.
Pit Row
Hard when these cheese ball YouTube channels are putting these words and claims out there too.
Their marketing needs to get ahead of these crappy channels using some photos and clips they found online to ‘educate’ us on a new model of bike.
For me 'we need cheaper bikes' and 'fuck the Chinese(government and many of their societal norms)' are two separate topics...
Though I appreciate the simplest route to cheaper bikes' is Chinese bikes.
As for this thing, there is zero room for bullshitting on weight and power. I know every bike brand (and vehicle brand for the most part) stretches the truth but at least keep it believable. 65hp??
The colour is indeed horrendous, but if it's a cheaper bike and it works (remains to be seen, but people seem to like that adventure/rally bike of theirs) then fair enough I guess.
I hear ya, but you many don't make the distinction between the 2. Colour isn't the greatest, but nothing graphix can't fix, etc. Pink TMs were an acquired taste as well. Claims are just that until proven otherwise naturally, they aren't the only ones that have made over the top claims, but it could be toned down a bit. Hype is ok, maybe this bike is really good? I know there is a stigma about Chinese bikes, but the adventure bike is really good and GPX isn't bad either. Interesting to me, but not necessarily enough to be the guinea pig.
Why don't the magazines jump on these and test them against the current stock available. I seem to vaguely remember MXA doing a test of a Chinese bike. Maybe its time they do a shootout of all the Chinese Bikes available? Or include the ones (Kove). I must admit, I would like to see a comparison test between the Suzuki (supposedly the worst) and Kove (supposedly the best).
Some "Shineray MX team China" vibes... but instead of honda, kove could field KTMs.
They just came out. Probably will at some point.
Depends if Kove is willing to submit a test unit .
...what a enormous steaming load of bullshit.
That bike is the ugliest thing to come out of China since Covid.
I couldn't watch 2 minutes of that promo vid without laughing at the AI bot narrator with the American accent with all the outrageous claims about horsepower and the "best Motocrosser on the market"
Yeah sure, I'm going to trust that frame and motor not to break over a large jump, its only my life...
Yeah some of the claims sound pretty outlandish but I doubt frame strength would be a worry . As stated their rally bike performed well . As far as looks its a plus that it's not a direct copy of another brand .
if you take a look at chinese demographics, we may not be seeing nearly as much stuff coming out of china in 10 or 15 years.
I went to their site to ask how to purchase one. Waiting to hear back
You might be looking for different word in there (maybe) instead of demographics?
