China Camp. Wasn't a national, but pulled some big names to it. Was located just outside of San Francisco, Nor-cal old guys may remember the place.

By '83 , Sunshine (St.Pete) was history,as well as Chicken Farm. When did the Sports stadium finally go under? Had to be about the same time period.
Not all national tracks, but great winter-ams.

GPs at Hollister, I don't think any nats.

Sears did run Nats for a couple of summers in addition to Trans AMA.

I remember one where the forgot to get a doc and the whole prgram was shit down for a few hours to get one out to the track. That was a miserable day.

Mid-Lake Raceway in Tallahassee was part of the winter am also. Opened in 1970, closed in 1975. Multi-million dollar homes there now, perched up on the hill over looking Lake Jackson (or what used to be a lake).

Nobody has mentioned Puyallup ( pronounced pew-al-up ) had a trans ama or sumthin back in the late seventies. De Coster was there along with alot of other big names. Bobby M? Track is long, long gone.

I believe one was held (at least what I was told) at Sandy Oaks MX (near Kirkwood, IL)

I can't remember which great said it - but one of them said it was the toughest track he'd ever ridden!

Nothin but huge sand whoops... the entire track - everywhere.

Cycle World, St. Charles MO. What was the track is now a boat dealer and an open field. No nationals, just some Trans Ams.

One national in 82 I believe at St. Louis International Raceway in Fairmont City Il. The track is now called Gateway Intl. Raceway and the MX track is covered by a NHRA dragstrip.

And they've got a track in St. Joe again, but I'm not sure if it's in the same place.
