I like that Jase calls himself out right before he talks about ju jitsu/fighting every time now.
I thought he was going to make it the entirety of the Mcgrath pod without mentioning it but he snuck in a comparison during the last 5min 😂
Excited to hear from Prado on this one.
Great podcast!
That is a good interview. Prado displays a lot of self confidence and he’s not scared to say what he thinks. Couldn’t help but laugh when he was saying the Ernee des nations track was smooth!
Seems like an awesome dude. I’m enjoying listening to his perspective on other riders and his mentality on racing against them. I will always root for guys like him who dream of racing in the US, then make it happen.
I wonder what the dynamic will be between him, Troy’s team, and his existing team when he comes over.

That was a very good interview. I liked Prado before but man he is very smart for a 22 year old. Very good comments on every topic Jase through at him.
I’m one of the rare BJJ and Moto guys so I never mind it. Lots of benefits of cross-training it tbh as it’s something, like moto, any age bracket can do.
Both kind of wreck your body too 😂 But gotta pay to play.
Prado in the US is an interesting turn, we know he'll put in the work and has the talent so it will be fun to see how it goes.
And boy does he put up a fight on the track, kid will fight to the end.
Right there with you. Bummer part is when you get hurt in one activity, you often can't do either one.
I did get some odd looks during practice wearing a immobilizer boot from a ruptured Achillies.
Guys who never trained BJJ will never understand, they will continue to think mx is much harder. (Overall it probably is).
They would all be gassed 30 seconds into a 3 minute roll.
While that is true to an extent, it's really hard to compare these sports I think. There is such a big difference and variance through all the levels of both sports when it comes to intensity and overall fitness. While some martial arts like BJJ, Boxing, Muay Thai etc are probably harder in the beginning when compared to casual riding, MX really levels up when going faster and the athletes at the semi pro/pro level are just freaks at this point.
But you are right when it comes to people that are not familar with Martial Arts in general really underestimate the intensity.
I don’t like to compare them as far as which is better or worse. I find that BJJ makes an excellent replacement for any sprint workout you would do to prepare for motocross. It also provides plenty of suffering and you also get humbled at ever level you progress to.
Both take years on years to achieve competency in as well. They are both also individual sports which is the real key component to it all.
Good watch/listen. I gained a lot of insight into who Prado is and how he thinks. Impressive young dude.
I wanted to stab myself in the eye when they were talking about Bayle as the last big bike MXGP champ to come over.
Greg and Sebastian would like a word.
Prado gets so salty talking about Jett
Confidence is first word that comes to mind.
what does he say about Jett?

Pit Row
I don’t know if I would say salty, I think he just likes to point out the facts. And they are very valid. These guys have so much confidence in themselves (not to be confused with cocky or arrogant). He knows Jett is beatable. Would love to see them both go at it outdoors over a season.
The irritation is not about comparing the difficulty of the sports....it's Jace turning a good interview into him trying to relate his JJ training to that of the best in the world. Nobody cares about you rolling around wrestling when we want to hear what the riders have to say.
His last few have been MUCH Better, so it's all good!
A healthy gajser and herlings can beat prado rather easy imo, lets see him repeat and head to usa end of 2024.
Rather easy? Herlings was healthy for the first eight rounds or so and Prado still kept the red plate since round one, how is that possible then? Also the classic "when Herlings is healthy" argument when we see that twice in seven seasons is such a horrible take. Trying to discredit champions is so lame.
Greg and Seb never won a sx title like Bayle did
I couldn’t listen to the whole thing, far out it’s going to hit him hard when life starts smashing him in the face.
It he does come race supercross, think he is going to get humbled.
I haven't seen many Prado interviews but he came across as very mature, articulate and composed for his years. If he stays healthy and keeps growing as a rider like he is, he's going to be hard to beat. Wise head on young shoulders, I was impressed.
I didn't get the impression they were talking title, simply racing or winning a race after being the big bike world champ.
That's correct. He was referring to if he came full time in 2024 as the MXGP champ, not if he won the sx title. I don't think we see him until 25, but hope we do. The more the merrier!
Not trying to discredit just calling it as i see it. If those two are on the track prado will be behind them. Being such a great starter is what really makes him very competitive and he is a smart rider.
Not salty at all. I think most European cultures are just more inclined to speak what they actually believe vs being intentionally humble.
He's young enough to get a little more speed yet...
