I feel like in many situations this could be seen as a douchebag move, but in this particular case I think its awesome.

This isn't some spoiled rich kid or manufactured pop star or some kid from a social media family.  Jett cleaned house in the Futures program and earned his 250 pro spot... then cuts his teeth against the best and has his failures... comes back with a fire and cleans the 250 class in and then enters the 450 outdoors and goes undefeated against some of the best in the world.

Organic, raw talent.  The guy hauls and good for him imo.

I have no idea why anyone who can afford and buy a Ferrari that others would consider it a douchebag move. I dont give a damn how anyone makes their money as long as its legal, and they can buy what ever makes them happy. Anyone who pisses on anyone else that spends their wealth the way they want is a jealous douchebag.

In no situation is buying a 6 figure car a douchebag move. A douchebag move is buying a clapped out 1995 civic and slamming it and putting a fart can exhaust on it.

I know Jett and Hunter are still kids, and you always want a ridiculous performance car when you are young, and they certainly work hard and deserve to have fun with their toys.

but putting very expensive shit on social for everyone to see is just asking for trouble.   Their dad should ask them to take the posts down for the family's own good.

Remember at one point Hunter was a throw in for Honda to get Jett? Couldn't stay healthy and on the bike. All his injuries kept him from riding sx and he looked totally out of place indoors. Hell yeah Hunter.

I’m 41 and I still love having and want more performance cars. A gear head is a gear head. I actually find it weird when dudes that make a living as the fastest motorcycle riders in the world aren’t into shit like fast cars.

I have the money to buy a Ferrari but now I'm too old and wise to do so when I think about insurance and maintenance, so I drive a Passat (and why I sold my Tesla...) hahaha

Good on the kids to enjoy their success and money. I wish I had spoiled myself more but my upbringing with no money was always focus to save money for the future. Now, I have money but no desire to spend it other than a few expensive watches which some of them tripled in value since I got them... 

The Lawrence Brothers are living the American Dream. Work hard, be successful, make a shit ton of money and do WTF they want with it. I applaud them for their success and their 'Raris! Congrats!

Yes he did, and it's one of the coolest parts of his journey to superstar status.  In the inaugural season of the Futures program (2019), he was out there racing against all the other amateurs. Look at results in 2019 for the '250 Futures' class in Glendale, Anaheim, and the National Championship.

I meant how rich kids, pop stars, or influencer types etc. just post their fancy stuff on social media to flex on everyone else. People who never really earned their Ferrari so to speak, basically just bragging for no reason. It comes off as insecure douchebaggery in those cases imo.

Jett, on the other hand, wasn't given this by anybody.  He literally earned his Ferrari by being a world class racer.  I dont view him as flexing on people or being insecure with this.  It looks like someone celebrating with all his fans an awesome achievement, the culmination of incredible hard work, sacrifice, and talent.

Their family put it ALL on the line moving to another continent twice to give the boys the chance to make it as pros, they did it the hard way

It paid off and now they are both champions,in their early 20s,the MX world at their feet,potential to be true greats,amounts of money banked normal people could only dream of....................so hell yea buy the Ferraris

Hopefully they are promo cars. Remember when Nate Ramsey was showing off “his” fleet of exotic cars?  Turned out to be that they were ‘on loan’ from a car dealer that he was working with. He got to use some of them, but didn’t actually buy them. 

I definitely think that the Lawrences are smart enough to do that sort of thing. If they wanted to actually drive them, they lose a lot of their investment value and while the maintenance is better than it used to be, it’d still be difficult to justify as anything close to a daily driver. 

Could be a couple of shorter term leases too. The mileage caps and penalties are brutal for those, but if you only plan to drive them a few times a month then it’s not too terrible for someone with some good cash flow.
