IMG 20190203 134214531 HDR 1Hi guys,

First post here but longtime reader (maybe around 2020 COVID). I have just created and account to reply.

I'm from Argentina, I live in Cordoba city (2nd biggest city), therefore I don't have such a great view as the other members.

Anyway, if you're traveling at this part of the world, write a message and we could organise something. I will cover the first round of drinks.

Have a good weekend, warriors!

(Sorry if there are some mistakes in my writing, English is not my main language)

Welcome friend. It's amazing how many members come from every corner of the world.

If you’ve somehow wandered into my part of the world and you’re into big game or sport fishing I can certainly help with that!

Hey Ando,

I'm south in Mandurah. Bloody sad that Manji didn't go ahead this year but holding out hope that next year, shes back on!

Enjoy the fishing mate

Where about are you in Argentina? I watched a Documentary a couple of months back and your country looks beautiful.

Also, it's awesome that your Rugby team is in a semi final against New Zealand. That's going to be a cracker. Your guys ain't afraid to get physical.

Welcome aboard 🤜❤️🤛 planning a South America tour soon if I make it second rounds on me 👍

Thanks, Deja New!

South America has nice people and some "rotten apples" (try to avoid them), but the places to visit in most of the countries are great.

Keep me posted when you do the trip.

Last year I went south of Argentina to watch MXGP Patagonia and everything is very different (country has around 4000 km / 2845 mi from north to south).

North, border with Chile @ 4200 m/13780 ft (Dakar use to race in this area)

South, near MXGP track

Thanks for welcoming in the other post and your kind words about my country! Yes, it has very interesting places to visit, with a huge contrast in climate.

Unfortunately our economy is not good but people's attitude compensate that fact. Even if they don't understand your language, they will try to help you (but don't forget about the "rotten apples").

I live in the center of the country, where the WRC round used to race. Therefore rally is very strong here.

I studied a little your country but finally we didn't travel (work related).

To be honest I don't know a lot about rugby but I find interesting that Los Pumas was/is mostly an amateur team. Because here the sport is not as strong as in other nations, the rugbiers that are paid play for other teams in France, Ireland, etc.

Manjimup 15000.  Big MX race in the southwest of WA.  Used to be the richest race in Australia for many years.

I was born in Columbus and live in the suburbs but own 20 acres in southeast Ohio. I have some single track and a 2 mile GP Grass track.  My weekend neighbors also have trails (another 30 acres). With the exception of some practice days on MX tracks, I am exclusively an off-road rider and only an avid fan of MX/SX.

Very envious of you guys that live close to proper mountains.  The highest peak in our entire country is only 7300’; in our state the highest is 4100’ and even then it’s only 2700’ above the surrounding plain.

Yeah Aussie mountains are really only hills. I live near Qld’s highest at 1611m/ 5285ft, but it rises from less than 100m on the coast side.

It's not always cool I wasn't old enough to remember it. When mt st Helen's blew I was barely 2. My older friends all said it was a pain the aftermath people talked about it for years afterwards. One of the tracks we go ride at now.

Is out towards the mountain and the track the river bed soil is this volcanic ash sand mix. My friend always says I hope the mt doesn't blow when we go there. Mt rainier is a volcano that could also blow again some day.

Mountains yes, volcanoes no!  Actually we are the only continent with no active volcanoes.

Born and raised in NW Ohio. 53 years young and I think NW Ohio is the best kept secret. Most complain on how flat it is, but river life is the best. We have lake Erie close by, close to almost everything. And we get to enjoy all 4 seasons. Although winters are not what they once were but I'm ok with that.

I have always loved the USA and it has been a life long dream to find a place in the mountains where I can retire but sadly that ship has sailed. I want to come back and visit. There are so many beautiful states...I have a thing for mountains and trees.

In 2018 diving up to Washougal from LA,  I drove through the closest thing to heaven. Don't know the name of the area but the trees, the lakes and there was this really big mountain in the distance (I'll find a pic to post here) with snow on top. It gave me goosebumps...man, to have the money to own a small piece of land with a cabin...that's the dream right there.

Montana I see people with small houses living in the mtns.  I don’t care for the mtns out west. I like the ne & se mtns . Pigeon forge Tn bordering nc.  Is much more scenic a lot of cabins to rent.  1 of the best rafting place. Winding  curves & going down the steep grades of the river would be fun.  I think I might hv strep throat or ?  My whole body aces with pain in my rt ear to rt eye.  Anyway 1st generation American born. Too bizarre of a story to get into.in 76 my mom got a 3 to 11 job after the divorce .  I basically raised myself & made codes to live by. Good news kinda I checked my email to see if I got my escrow money back, nope. But I saw a email from IL. Dept of labor. I files a claim last June.  He said we hv tens of thousands of claims against iL. Trucking co.s.  IL. Is having a meeting on this issue because it’s extremely out of control.  I told him my exp which goes back to the 80,s at a pipeline co.  He wanted examples of what’s going on.  Too many to list but here’s a couple.  Work is 7 days a week 18-39 hrs straight. Even if your leasing a trk & say you want a day off. Your fired & fuel card is shut off. Your last 2 weeks + will not be paid. Co driver forget ever getting a day off. Work 4 1/2 months straight +.  I explained how they cheat of logs.  Thousands of illegal deductions come out of checks.  Loads not paid, etc no touch freight but where forced to hand unld 46k in a 180 degree trl.  I refuse to it unless 1,200 is paid this was a hz mat ld. My co & the broker agree to pay. Then don’t pay anything. It’s 2,400 to cross dock unld reld at a warehouse.  Illegal deductions of thousands of dollars.  Fake rate contracts ld pays 8k co skims 4k - federal crime.  Equipment is all  dangerous junk even a haz mat co 45k explosive hz . They install the wrong brake parts off a totaled trl. You brake & snap the brake chamber adjusted rod to hv no brakes. I explained that the brokers at mega carriers even know & say it’s a team ld. Hi Vitals ! Another Argentina member here. Now you all have TWO folks to reach if planning to visit this awesome part of the world.

I live like 700kms south Buenos Aires city, in Bahia Blanca. Economy situation in our country is very delicated, access to the toys we all like here are almost impossible (even if you have the money), but we DO have a very very good life quality.

So, if want to eat, drink a play for very few u$s, Argentina is a great destination. Just send a message and I will be pleasent to help you plan a good trip!

pd: I quitted MX, now playing golf as JS7 Tongue

(edit) pd2: just realized I've been here for almost eleven years! Woohoo

Born and raised in northwest pa. about a hour north of pittsburgh. Raced moto for about 20 plus years, quit riding in 2009 as my band was playing every weekend so i never had time to ride. Just got back into riding this year and picked up a 2002 rm 125 to just have some fun play riding.

A bit further up the coast there’s all sorts of great fishing including GT’s, wahoo and sailfish.

My wife fishes and so does my 8yo boy.  He has a few Australian records.

I’ve also fished Costa Rica a few times.
