Discount tire isn't really discount anymore I've discovered.  They really aren't quality service anymore either.  Last one we did had to go back 4 times at 2 different locations because their balancers suck.

The Hondas are very good looking. I wasn’t crazy about the GasGas FE until I saw it in person…Now it’s in the garage.

Those "dated" dinosaur Suzuki's still look the best IMO.    Nothing beats a  yellow MX bike.

1. Kawasaki (the '24 450)

2. Honda

3. KTM

4. Husky

4. Yamaha (tie)

6. Suzuki

7. Triumph

8. GasGas

This is based on showroom stock looks, not race trim

Taste is a funny thing and this is in no way a person attack but I wouldn’t even put the Kawasaki on the list I personally find it so ugly from design to shape to colour.

Honda's are always in the running, they just look fast! I'm really digging the anniversary Yamahas though.

Kawasaki should have went more purple instead of baby blue on their special edition, and the muffler just kills the look of the bike.

Yeah the exhaust on the KX looks like someone put a spark arrester on red neck coal roller tail pipe!  It’s still a good lookin scooter.  I have’t seen one up close yet.

I gotta go with the Kawi’s as my favorite, but that stock muffler is too long. That green is fire. One thing I always like about Kawi’s is that as long as you have a recent model, it doesn’t look outdated.

I do have a soft spot for the Suzuk’s and always have. My first bike was a 79 RM50. They do have that fighter jet look.

Yamaha’s look nice when the plastic is new, but after a few rides, They tend to look beat to me. That color doesn’t hold up well.

Honda’s always look clean. I liked the 90s shade of red better though. The more pinkish translucent red.

KTMs look okay, but I’m not a huge fan of the shade of orange. If it was more of a flo orange, It would probably be my favorite.

Love Husky’s look, but I’m not a fan of that blue frame color with the grey and yellow.

GasGas are okay. It doesn’t make me drool.

One thing I find frustrating about monster is they have no problem doing variants of their logo on their product but won’t do anything other than the neon claw for bikes, even if it’s just a one off livery for a certain race. Check the fridge rack in any gas station a you’ll see 40 different monster cans with as many different colors and texture variants for the logo. But then Yamaha comes out with a special edition color scheme for a single race or short series and they have to plaster the same green logo on it. Everybody knows your brand and the announcers can’t mention the bike without saying monster. Would it kill you to put a purple claw on the shroud?

RedBull has the same problem too, a lot of variants of their drink but still the same OG RedBull logo for all the Teams, at least in Formula 1, their B team is their clothing brand, Alpha Tauri.

Alpha Tauri F1 Colors would look cool on a Husqvarna Factory Team, just saying...

Something really does look off. The plastic just doesn't flow and looks unproportional.

Reminds me of those old ugly kdx bikes it looks wrong and doesn’t flow almost heavy like a tank not agile or nimble.

Yep. Seems like they tried to go with a "Honda look" but it didn't turn out well lol.

It does look a loot better without the retro graphics though Id have to say.

And especially the race bikes with the more lime green plastics.

I suspect it’s because it’s reproduction. Graphics companies are producing their logo on something rather than Monster doing it themselves. They would have approved logos the graphics companies can use and those are all the green claws. It aligns with Monsters approved branding if you use the green claw. Allowing third parties to start using other colors would open a can of worms that might not be on brand for them. Whereas the cans are their own work.

There probably is a copy somewhere on there . I've seen Chinese knockoff KX bikes from when they had those holes in the radiator shrouds .

I'd have to go with the new KX450, specifically the retro. I love the lines of the new plastic and those colors look so good.

The current Hondas are up there too. The new KTM is pretty good. Suzuki is good, aside from the muffler. I think the new Yami is a step back in looks. Same with the newest GasGas. Husky hasn't looked good since the 17-18.

I'd say the new Husky looks good design wise, they just need different color schemes.

I think the '23 Heritage colorway looks pretty amazing. I love the stripes and the classic white with blue/yellow. But the body plastics just don't do it, for me. Everything looks clunky, especially in the airbox & side panel area. And the previous gen the split side panel ruined the look of that bike. The 17-18 was sleek and 1 of my favorites, along with the outgoing Gasgas plastics. The new GG sidepanel is weird and now the rear fender looks way too long, especially in person. Just my opinion.

Not quite applicable when it comes to one-off designs for the race team only. It's purely a Monster decision to only run the green claw.

My list top to bottom of STANDARD offerings (no Factory/Special editions)...also leaving out TM and Beta etc

1 Suzuki - Classic yellow....cannot be beat.

2 GasGas - Sexy

3 Yamaha  - The actual blue ones, not that ghey pink/purple wanna-be anniversary crap.   (I'm  lifelong Yamaha fan)

4 Honda - Red, nuff said.

5 KTM - Lets face it...orange is just  ugly....but not as ugly as:  see the next two below.

6 Kawasaki - Never  been a fan of bright green motorcycles.  Hideous

7 Husqvarna - whoever came up with the grey/yellow should be fired

Now for the Factory Edition ratings:

1.) GasGas - drool

2.) Husqvarna -

3.) Yamaha - Monster graphics ...but not much of a F.E.

4.) Honda

5.) KTM

6.) Kawasaki

Special Editions consideration:.

1.) Honda 50th   (Blue and Red is timeless

2.) Husqvarna  - white and blue vintage colors/graphics.   The standard line should be these colors

Tie for last  Kawasaki blue/pink/uni-trak edition  and Yamaha pink/purple editons

I didn't mention those but I think they look amazing. Sleek and fast looking. And classy. They don't look junky or goofy, which I almost expect from an upstart brand.

As I set here at Discount Tire in Lufkin Texas.  Figure I’d post something.  Before they hit me up for just south of 1900 bucks for 3 tires.  They are going to replace one for free under Warrenty….yeah me.  Anyway I got to thinking best looking bike for looks.

Forget brand loyalty, reliabilty etc.  What’s best looking racing scooter for 2024.

I just bought a new Beta 300 RX a few weeks back but not my favorite with respect to look.  Although it’s not bad.

Honda CRF R as plain as it is still best looking bike if I had to pick.  Second would be Suzuki.  Third would be Beta, next would be GasGas and not factory, just plain red one.  I didn’t rate KX haven’t seen one in the flesh.  Might change my mind if I had.

What ya got for an opinion.

The Beta looks good everywhere, except…

The front fender sticks up a little too far in the front (same with Fantic, which is the same looking front fender). All it needs is a couple of washers on the front of the two fender mounts to tilt it down slightly.

I'd say the new Husky looks good design wise, they just need different color schemes.

The heritage editions certainly do look better especially with the white frames. I agree that there is too much plastic in the air box area. I think KTM is the best looking Austrian. I used to hate the new bodywork but man it grows on ya. Maybe that's because I just bought a 23 450 SMR lol.
