The helicopter is for the unstable patients literally so they get to the hospital quicker. But this is neither here nor their at this point.
Back to Michael, I hope he comes out of this and pulls through. All of the positive thoughts I can bring for him
leave it to vital for someone to come in and be negative… who gives a shit what the helicopter is used for in your world, ffs people for once just be positive and hope for the best for our moto brother.
Hate to read this kind of post I hope he pulls through OK.
Thanks for keeping us updated
Tonight’s update:
“ Everybody is hopeful at the moment. He has swelling in the brain and is still in a induced coma. His sister said he moved his hand a little”

Glad to hear he is moving his hand / responding to family. How big of a jump did he crash on? I imagine something massive with the status of his condition but that’s an assumption.
Happy to hear some positive news!
Unfortunately and fortunately the jump wasn’t big. Decent size, 3rd gear but kinda downhill The ground was just pretty much hardpack at the time. I didn’t see it, but was there.
still sending healing thoughts to him!
I think it was the Steep landing and the roller at the bottom kind of going uphill into the turn and sudden stop! Hoping for some more positive updates and movements
Prayers sent to pull through this
After the 90? Or the hill with the turn at the top before?
As you're looking at the track it's a step up on the far right jumping away from you into a left hand turn
From another co worker: Feeling hopeful after this one 👌🏽
”I spoke to Michael's mom today
He's doing better and the doctors are hopeful and said he would make a full recovery
She said "he might be a little different but no one knows to what extent”
He can't have visitors yet since he's still in the ICU
He's hooked up to the machines to avoid any brain swelling”
This is awesome news!!
That is good news!!!
Todays update:
“He had some tests done today, but we don't know the results yet. Overall he hasn't changed except some of the swelling has gone down in his head, which is good”
We will say some prayers for him tonight. Praying for you brother!
That is for sure a positive. Keep fighting brutha.
Prayers for a good recovery 🙏, us moto dudes are a hardy bunch with plenty of fight 👍
This topic has really bothered me. I'm so happy this guy is coming along ok. Still praying though.
All of us moto dudes are hardy bunch. Sort of like GB and US military. Brothers in arms!!!
Pit Row
Thank you for the updates really pulling for him to wake up soon!!
Sorry to hear about a rider being injured
Prayers for a speedy and full recovery
So accurate. I've always been an antisocial person. It's gotten better but I had social anxiety pretty bad when I was younger. But when I'm at the track it just goes away. I'm always chatting up the guys parked next to me. The camaraderie between moto brothers is quite the strong bond
Yeah I agree however there's always an a-hole or two but that's anywhere you go.
Come on son......Lucky thoughts from this Canadian (Irish).....u can do this moto brother
Really tough read tonight guys. I’m in tears sending this one out. I’m gutted for Michael and family…
Andrew please read below: This is Michael's brother, I am sending this to all his friends. Michael is still alive. When he hit his head he severely injured his brain. Bleeding in his brain caused swelling that is putting pressure in his skull. Over the past week the doctors have been using drugs to try to reduce the swelling. His condition is not improving. Today the doctors removed part of his skull to relieve the pressure. We are now waiting to see what will happen. If he survives his brain injuries are permanent. The next few weeks are going to be tough, so if we don't respond to texts or calls, know that we are not avoiding you on purpose.
There are no guarantees, but people do recover from this. My thoughts and prayers will be with Michael, you, and your family.
Hoping for the best.
Also hoping for the best. Miracles do happen and praying that this young lad pulls through.
Tough to read. Removing part of the skull sounds horrible and probably causes a lot of strong emotions reading it but it is a good thing he’s at a place that can do this. (Google Scotty Cranmer who also had part of his temporarily removed during his TBI). Another thing, doctors speak in a way to prepare people for the worst outcomes, not the best. Not sure if it’s not wanting to be sued but they told Scotty he would never ride again and he is. Time will tell but it sounds like this rider has a great support system around him to help with his recovery journey. I’m hoping and rooting for the man.
Positive vibes from Europe. Heal well and fast motobrother.
That is gut wrenching news.. sending him and his family lots of love and positivity. Please let us know if they choose to accept donations, would be a way to let them know they’re not alone if nothing else.
I thought the same, "Another thing, doctors speak in a way to prepare people for the worst outcomes, not the best" With that said there is hope and I really believe deep down that this lad will be ok.
