I was considering waiting for my new bike purchase for the Triumph….but…the only opinions so far on how the bike is are all from paid by Triumph reps and employees.  Still no independent reviews.  Also…the fact that Triumph time lines make a glacier seems like Niagara Falls.  Any after market stuff will be very slow and limited to roll out for this bike.

The aftermarket stuff will come pretty quickly I would imagine

No way…super limited number of customers on only a 250.  Not worth it for most to design and tool for it.  They are businesses in business to make money.

Triumph sells 100K bikes worldwide.  I would assume they need to sell more than 400 in the US to make back their R&D on this model.

They wouldn’t expect to make back all there r&d money in the first year. I’m thinking they’ll make 1-2000 in there first year.

Honestly? I bet they'll ship Triumphs starting in December. And blow past the amount of Stark units shipped to date in a matter of 3 months.

Someone else brought them up as a comparison. I just outlined the typical shipping capability of an actual manufacturer that's done this before.

You didn’t outline anything. You just took a wild guess.

Yamaha sold 4.8 Million motorcycle in 2022. I have no clue how much of that is dirt bikes. But from 2020 numbers of 6170. I'm guessing they easily sold 10K off-road bikes. So there's a little insight into capabilities of a large manufacturer.

The demand is not there for triumph to produce anywhere near 6000 250f’s.  Maybe 2000. And I think that’s even a stretch.

Dealer we have in Tulsa is a long time Honda, KTM dealer they just lost KTM bringing in Triumph, Husky and Gas Gas.

How do they lose KTM but get Husky and Gas Gas? Some goofy rules KTM has with dealers? Seems like if they lost KTM they wou;d lose the whole franchise? Where is this Honda dealership? I've been to the one 21st and Yale.

I remember local HD dealer added triumph.  That was a fail that lasted a couple years.  Hopefully triumph dealers have interest in mx.  Maybe some will due to the tiger adv bikes.

Surprised if they “lost” KTM they would pick up Husky and gas gas. Smaller KTM and another Husky dealer dropped them due to them requiring they buy a bunch of models they have a hard time sealing and requiring large parts inventories be purchased

Dealership was being sold and there was some kind of sketchy stuff that went in with the previous owner right before he sold it.  They kinda got screwed over.  Not happy about it because we've done business there for more than 20 years.  Sounds like KTM kinda knew it and that's why Husky and GasGas coming in.

KTM got moved to 5th gear in BA.  They didn't have Husky or GasGas before so it's a new dealer situation there.  It was a whole screwed up deal from the old owner is what I have got from someone there.  That's how KTM ended up somewhere else.

Thats it! Place was a KTM dealer forever , back to the penton days! Long story short is a new owner came in (Car Dealership DOUCHE) and did some slim ball stuff and sold KTM franchise to dealer across town and then sold Honda franchise. But the new owners of Tulsa Powersports (old Honda of Tulsa) are great people.

I should have just said yeah what he said.Tongue
